Following closely on the heels of Saturday’s Command & Conquer Generals 2 reveal, Phenomic announced today that it will be making a second addition to the Command & Conquer universe: Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances.
Tiberium Alliances will be the franchise’s first completely free-to-play MMO, set in the same universe as the previous Tiberium games. That means you’ll be fighting like mad against hordes of mutant enemies. But you won’t be doing it alone.
Tiberium Alliances has taken a step away from the series’ PC roots to offer cross-platform play through both web browsers and mobile devices. Players will be able to form strategic alliances with friends, and in-game social and news update feeds will introduce a new layer of urgency to the real-time play. You’ll need to be able to strategize, react, and adapt on the spot if you want to hold on to victory.
Sound like your strategy style? Tiberium Alliances’ closed beta begins this Thursday, December 15. You can sign up at www.tiberiumalliances.com today for a chance to participate.
If you prefer to stick to PC play, check out the newly-announced Command & Conquer Generals 2. This Frostbite 2-driven sequel to Generals brings a smooth new look and a powerful capacity for destruction to the series’ classic three-faction war. And with BioWare on the team, you know you can expect some very immersive gameplay.
