The end of the Beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic left more than a few of us with lightsaber separation anxiety. Thankfully, the cure is on the way! Starting Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. CST, BioWare will begin granting early access to players who pre-ordered the MMO earlier this year.
While Star Wars: The Old Republic won’t open to the general public until December 20, 2011, the Early Game Access period will give pre-ordering players up to seven days of pre-launch play. If you participated in the Beta, you already know that’s plenty of time to choose your class, don some gear, and work your way up to your very first force weapon – a must for any self-respecting Sith or Jedi.
In order to help players prepare for Early Game Access, BioWare has also launched an official pre-load period. Gamers who pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic will soon receive an email (if they haven’t already) with instructions on how to download and install the game on their machine.
If you weren’t one of the 725,000 players to join the Beta in November, and you still haven’t pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic, this is your last chance to play before the official game start day. Pre-order your copy on Origin today for pre-load and early access, 30 days of game subscription time, and a free Color Stone to fancy up your saber or blaster.
