Today EA announced Need for Speed: The Run, the latest action racing game in the storied franchise.
Need for Speed The Run

Are you ready for an epic race from San Francisco to New York? Well you’re in luck, today we announced Need for Speed: The Run, the latest action racing game in the storied franchise.

In The Run you’ll take on one hundred of the most infamous drivers in the world on an illegal, high-stakes race across the country. On the way you’ll weave through dense urban centers, rocket down icy mountain passes, and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared – and willing – to use lethal force to take you down.

Need for Speed: The Run will use the popular Autolog system, letting you connect with friends online, compare your stats and achievements, and compete against them to be the fastest racer to New York. Use the Autolog Wall to share your best photos, or just taunt your friends as you climb to the top of the Autolog Speedwall.

The game is shipping this fall on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, 3DS and Wii. Be sure to check out some of the intense action in the brand-new trailer.
