November is Movember at EA

Kristian Segerstrale

2012-11-01

Each November, Movember encourages moustache growing and fundraising for men’s health, specifically to cure prostate and testicular cancer. Our company was involved in this movement last year and really got into the spirit. I’m excited to be the executive sponsor of EA’s Movember efforts for 2012 and to lead the charge in growing a moustache and raising funds for this good cause.

I’m encouraging our employees to join an EA Movember team where they can raise funds as they grow a moustache throughout the month. We have teams in our EA Network around the globe participating from the US and Canada, to the UK, Australia and Germany – and we’ll be giving prizes to the teams that raise the most funds and a prize for the most creative moustache. We’ll also be going against our competitors in the Movember Gaming Challenge. We’re the reigning champions (just beating out Ubisoft last year) so I’m looking forward to competing again and seeing up the competition.

You’ll get to see the progress we make by following us online – we’ll be posting our mo photos on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #EAMovember so keep your eye out, and post your own photos of you or your favorite EA character donning a moustache for us to see.

Check back here later in the month to hear about the progress we’ve made for this important charity.

May the moustache growing begin!
