It’s not quite a jam session, but Xbox’s “Game with Fame” event still nets you an hour of play time with Patrick Carney, the bespectacled drummer of The Black Keys. Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST on Friday, November 25, he’ll be logging into Xbox LIVE to play Need for Speed: The Run.
Need for Speed The Run initially paired up with the blues-rock duo to release the band’s latest single, “Lonely Boy,” in combination with some new in-game footage. Now, the game is out and the band’s next album, El Camino, is about to hit the shelves. The official release date is December 6, 2011.
If you want to race with Patrick on Friday, make sure you’re prepared. Xbox recommends being ready to play at least 30 minutes before the event. You’ll also want to friend or invite Friday’s alt-rock guest. He’ll be playing as “TBKElCamino.”
