Playing the Best of This Generation – And Getting a Head Start on the Next

We know the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are coming in November, but first we've got a full lineup of games coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 that we think fans are going to love.

Things are starting to get exciting around here.

We know the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are coming in November, but first we've got three of our next-gen launch window titles that hit stores well before that for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

As the NFL season goes into full swing, Madden NFL 25 is as well — the game hit stores at the end of August, and it's going strong in the 25th year of this great franchise.  Fans are loving the FIFA 14 demo on Xbox 360 and PS3 that launched earlier this week, and can’t wait for the launch that kicks off in North America on September 24 and worldwide on September 27.  The highly-anticipated Battlefield 4 action starts with the Battlefield 4 Beta on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC slated for October 1, then the game lights up on October 29.

These games on PS3 and Xbox 360 are the pinnacle of this console generation.  But, in the case of Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4, they launch well before the next-generation versions hitting a month or two later.  I’m happy to confirm today the street dates for these three titles on next-generation consoles:  Nov. 19 (North America)/Nov. 21 (Europe) for Xbox One and Nov. 12 (North America)/Nov. 29 (Europe) for PlayStation 4.

We want to make it simple to start playing on current-generation consoles, and then transition to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 later.  Here's a couple of easy ways how:

  • Playing early on the Xbox 360 or PS3 means you will be able to learn maps, unlock items, and build stats in Battlefield 4; or create your Ultimate Teams and more in FIFA 14 and Madden NFL 25.  You can then seamlessly carry over a lot of cool content from the current gen game to a new Xbox One or PS4 version to get a jump on the competition.
  • Offers from many of our retail partners will help you buy Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 or Madden NFL 25 on the Xbox 360 or PS3, and then upgrade to an Xbox One or PS4 version for as little as $10.

Here's more on both carryover content and retail upgrade offers for Battlefield 4FIFA 14 and Madden NFL 25.

I'm sure you'll agree — this is a great year to be a gamer and we don't want you to miss a minute of the action.
