SimCity for PC is looking sharper than ever, but there’s still a long way to go before you lay that first brick. Luckily, Maxis and Playfish have another city-building opportunity launching in just a few weeks: SimCity Social.

This new game for Facebook, announced today at E3, will give players the chance to create sprawling cities that evolve with their play style.

“This isn’t your typical drag and drop video game,” says Jami Laes, Vice President of Global Studios for Playfish. “Players don’t just build a city—they choose the kind of city they want and watch its soul come to life as it grows and reacts to their decisions.”

SimCity Social also features a unique friend and foe system, allowing players to interact with others in fun and dynamic ways. Check out the trailer below, then visit the official Facebook page for more info.
