The Tetris Company and EA Mobile today announced The Human Tetris Project, an innovation in social networking that brings the faces behind one of the world's most popular video games to life. The Human Tetris Project invites Tetris lovers around the world to become part of a global community showcasing the true scope, meaning, and impact the "Tetris Effect" has had across the globe over the last 25 years—and into the future!
Starting on Friday, April 9th, Tetris fans can upload an image from their Facebook profile, and it will become a Tetrimino on the giant game board. As the board builds, participants can expect to see thousands of fellow Tetris fans' Tetriminos drop from the board, from neighboring cities to the U.K. and Asia—and even some of the greats that made the technology we live with and love today. In fact, even Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and The Tetris Company's Managing Director Henk Rogers have already become a part of The Human Tetris Project!
The Human Tetris Project unites fans from across the world with a new kind of social network. Participants can visit the Facebook profiles of fellow Tetris lovers and learn about them—putting the Tetris Effect in action.
