Auction Assistant
New in NHL 14, pay close attention to the Auction Assistant widget that is displayed in the New Items, Collection and Trade Pile screen. Should you buy that Claude Giroux item? The Auction Assistant will display key information to help you decide such as the average low and high price range of the highlighted item, as well as the last price this item sold at. It also displays the rarity rating and availability of highlighted items in the Auction House which will help you decide whether to sell or hold onto an item. Additional improvements to the Auction House include new search parameters such as player level, type and country.
Player Item Tiers
Regular Player item types will now have three different tiers in addition to being rare or common. Bronze Player items are made up CHL players. Silver Player items will is composed of AHL, European and depth NHL players. Gold Player items contain superstar and proven NHL players. All other HUT items such as contracts and training are now categorised by these three levels as well.
Contract Items
Contract items will now come in tiers that correspond with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Player items. Each Contract item will increase the contract length of Player items, but using an item tier that matches the specific player tier will produce better results. For example, a Gold Contract item will increase the contract of Gold Player items more than a Bronze Player item.
EA Puck Rewards Everywhere
You can now earn EA Pucks for completing games in other game modes like Play Now or Online Versus mode. Similar to games played in Hockey Ultimate Mode, you will earn pucks based on your performance at the end of a match. You can then redeem those pucks and use them in Hockey Ultimate Team
