• EA Competitive Gaming Division Welcomes Major Broadcast Partners to Expand Madden NFL’s Ma… NFL Network and Univision remain Madden NFL Championship Series TV destinations with Madden Bowl

This past December we held our first EA Major tournament since the EA Competitive Gaming Division (CGD) was formed just over a year ago – the Madden Classic. An important factor in the Madden Classic’s success was the widespread opportunity for fans to watch the tournament – led by the NFL Network and Univision. And today, EA is happy to share we’ve extended our broadcast partnerships with NFL Media and Univision – ensuring the Madden NFL Championship is accessible to the masses.

“The player support surrounding the Madden Classic was palpable as the community came together to celebrate the best Madden players in the world.,” said Todd Sitrin, SVP, EA Competitive Gaming Division. “It was vital to have strong broadcasting support in making this accessible to all fans – hardcore players and casual newcomers. I’m very excited to be extending our relationship with the NFL Network and Univision and am confident we can continue to push competitive gaming forward together.”

NFL Media will extend their partnership with EA through the three remaining Madden NFL Majors this season — Madden Bowl, Madden Challenge and the Madden Championship. NFL Media will support the events with robust content including new episodes of “EA SPORTS Madden NFL America,” and live look-ins throughout Madden Bowl on its other NFL Network programs.

After Univision aired competitive gaming for the first time in its history on the Univision Deportes Network with the Madden Classic, the network is returning to broadcast the Madden Bowl, the second Madden EA Major, to the massive community of Spanish-speaking Madden fans. Madden Bowl will be streamed live on www.univision.com/deportes and aired the following Monday on the Univision Deportes Network.

In addition, the Madden NFL Championship Series will be streamed live on EA.com, Facebook, Twitch and YouTube reaching fans where they are and how they want to watch.

We're thrilled to be bringing competition to you on new platforms. We can't wait to see how these competitions unfold and learn who will be crowned champions. Be sure to tune in starting this weekend!
