• INTRODUCING THE EA SPORTS™ APP A NEW INTERACTIVE PLATFORM FOR SPORTS FANS The EA SPORTS™ App Will Soft-launch in Spain This Fall

    Today, Electronic Arts (EA) announced the EA SPORTS™ App, a free to download, socially-driven sports app, blending real and virtual sports content, to connect, engage and reward fans everywhere through unparalleled access to their favorite sports. 

    “The EA SPORTS App’s mission is clear: to empower fans to come together, share their passion, and celebrate the sports they love,” said David Tinson, EVP and Chief Experiences Officer, Electronic Arts. “The App opens up a new world of possibilities to reach sports fans beyond our games, as well as new audiences who crave more social, interactive and always-on sports experiences. We can’t wait for fans to discover, play and connect as the experience becomes more widely available. ” 

    The App will offer a range of features, designed to enhance the sports fan experience:

    • Community ‘Arenas’: At the heart of the EA SPORTS App is its vibrant community. Social features make it easy to connect and engage with others, share achievements, and celebrate victories together. 
    • Discovery Feed: Fans can stay up-to-date with the latest news, stats, and highlights from their favorite sports and teams engage with engaging content from EA SPORTS™.
    • Play: Fans can participate in interactive challenges before, during and after live games, competing against friends and other fans to earn status and rewards. 

    The EA SPORTS App will soft-launch in Spain this fall for iOS and Android devices, initially delivering a combination of sports content, live sports data, social messaging, interactivity, challenges and more centered on Global Football in collaboration with longstanding partner LALIGA. 

    EA SPORTS has a multi-dimensional partnership with LaLiga, a leader in football entertainment and home to some of the most valuable football clubs in the world. EA SPORTS is not only the naming partner for all LaLiga competition and has helped re-visualized the LALIGA match broadcasts creating a video-game-first, on-air package, but also LaLiga is a key partner helping drive authenticity and realism in EA SPORTS FC.
