We are taking our culinary adventure to new heights and testing out some of the Experimental Food recipes from The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack. If you have already leveled up your IRL cooking skill, join us as we crack open our curiosity with our friend and fellow foodie Cup of Liv to prepare the Space Taco with Pearled Egg Core recipe. Legend has it, these Space Tacos were dreamt up by an astronaut that had had enough freeze dried food.

“Space Tacos are what I would make for a date night dinner,” said Liv. “They look like something you could get at a five-star restaurant and taste just as good as they look!”

With a focus on bold flavors and eye-catching presentation, these tacos feature a unique, pearled egg core that will impress any dinner guest. “Just make sure you use pasteurized eggs for food safety,” she adds.

Space Tacos by Cup of Liv (Inspired by The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack)

Serving size: 3 tacos

Ingredients:

3 blue corn taco shells

1/2 cup asparagus, diced

1/2 yellow bell pepper, diced

1/2 red bell pepper, diced

1 cup shrimp, chopped

1 1/2 tbsp olive oil, divided

1 tsp lime juice

2 tsp taco seasoning

1 tsp Sriracha

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup purple cabbage, shredded

1 cup lettuce, chopped

1 pasteurized egg yolk

Flower, for garnish (small flowers such as edible flowers recommended)

Chopped cilantro, optional

Finely diced red onions, optional

Steps:

Preparation:

  1. Pat dry the chopped shrimp with a paper towel and add to a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of taco seasoning, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of Sriracha, and 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well and let the shrimp marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add prepared asparagus and bell peppers, and cook for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped shrimp, remaining taco seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp is fully cooked.

Assembling the taco:

  1. Place the taco shells on a taco holder.
  2. Build the tacos by first adding some chopped lettuce and shredded purple cabbage as the base, then add some cooked shrimp and pepper mixture.
  3. Add some chopped cilantro or finely diced red onions if desired.
  4. Top it off with a raw pasteurized egg yolk and a small flower for garnish.
