Keeping your EA Account safe by partnering with others
An update on EA Account safety measures, in partnership with Google.
November 6, 2024
At EA, we want you to enjoy the entertainment experiences our teams have created without having to worry about security. Unfortunately, there are bad actors who would love to steal your EA Account and use it to cause havoc for you or others you play with.
We do a lot to help protect your EA Account. Part of what we do includes working with others. In fact, Google recently provided details about some work we’ve done with them to offer an extra layer of protection for the EA Accounts you use to play your favorite games. We’ve seen cases where email accounts tied to EA Accounts were compromised. That can let attackers take over the EA Account (along with other valuable internet accounts connected to that email). To help fix this quickly and safely, we’ve been working closely with Google through their Cross-Account Protection program.
Through this program, we share our fraud and account security signals with each other in a safe way so EA Accounts can stay under the control of the players who enjoy them, and our players and fans can enjoy the stories we create and the experiences we deliver with fewer limitations.
Google shared more about this partnership and their efforts to keep billions of users secure online, in a recent post here!
