Oskar Gabrielson: General Manager of DICE
Oskar Gabrielson is a serial-entrepreneur that founded his first games company at the age of 13. He is a self-taught programmer, designer, business and product leader. Oskar spent his early 20’s in a start-up building out the Nordic E-sports scene by developing technology and tournament infrastructure for the World Cyber Games and more. He spent his mid 20’s building out a disruptive web based portal for social play across Counter-Strike, Quake, Battlefield, Trackmania and more taking the majority part of play time in Nordic region. Oskar kicked off collaboration work with EA & DICE to create “Battlelog” and has been with the company since 2012. He has served as VP and General Manager of DICE since 2016, heading up the DICE studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
Christian Grass - General Manager of DICE LA
Christian Grass is the general manager for DICE LA. Christian graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from Uppsala University in Sweden. In 2001 Christian joined DICE as a software engineer and was part of the team that shipped Battlefield 1942. Christian moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and joined EALA working on Medal of Honor as a production leader. In 2013 Christian was part of founding DICE LA as the head of operations and took over the role as general manager in 2017. In his free time, Christian enjoys playing squash and collecting wine.
Chad Grenier - Game Director of Apex Legends
Chad Grenier is a seasoned veteran in the video game industry. His professional career began in 2002 when he left the modding community to join a small company to work on what would eventually become the highly successful Call of Duty franchise. For 8 years Chad continually worked on the riskiest and most complex missions in the game.
In 2010 Chad joined Respawn Entertainment to work on Titanfall which would become the most awarded game of E3 2013 with 60+ wins and sweeping the Game Critics Awards.
Chad now heads the Apex Legends team at Respawn, a game that had a record-breaking launch and would become a historical overnight hit. Apex Legends would surpass over 25 million players by the end of the first week, and 50 million within its first month. Now surpassing over 80 million players Apex Legends continues to be a top shooter one year later, taking home both "Multiplayer Game of the Year" at the 2019 Video Game Awards, and "Online Game of the Year" at the 2020 D.I.C.E. awards.
Chad has been a key player in creating 3 best-selling AAA franchises. Call of Duty, Titanfall, and Apex Legends.
Vince Zampella | Co-Founder and CEO of Respawn Entertainment
Vince Zampella is the Head of Respawn Entertainment, a studio he co-founded in 2010 and that was acquired by EA in 2017, based in Chatsworth, CA. Zampella also leads the team at DICE LA, an EA studio based in Playa Vista, CA.
Respawn has created numerous critically acclaimed, best-selling games such as Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends and STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order. Respawn is working on Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond exclusively for Oculus VR and it was recently revealed that DICE LA is working on an unannounced project.
As Head of Respawn and DICE LA, Zampella oversees the studios’ game teams, providing guidance and support across their multiple projects. He is a key member of the EA Worldwide Studio organization’s senior leadership and the founder of the Creative Counsel – a developer-led initiative to foster shared knowledge and collaboration across EA’s development teams.
Prior to founding Respawn, Zampella co-created Infinity Ward – a studio specializing in military action shooters. Infinity Ward’s creation, Call of Duty, was first published in 2003 by Activision and quickly became one of the industry’s most prolific video game franchises.
