The struggles between the American forces and the Imperial Japanese Army continue. Launching February 6, Chapter 6: Into the Jungle will let you experience another side to the Pacific Theater. Watch your step. Expect the unexpected.
Deploy on a New Close-Quarter Map
Danger and opportunity are everywhere. On Solomon Islands, available February 4, you’ll fight through a jungle environment where you never know what’s lurking around the riverbend, by the dark mangroves, or in the hidden bunkers.
Whether you’re launching an American attack or defending the Japanese lines, the terrain can be your best friend – or your worst enemy.
Rivers and marshes block the path for infantry and tanks, but savvy soldiers can make the bottlenecks work for them. You’ll charge through narrow paths winding through dense jungle and fight over covered strongholds.
We’ve designed Solomon Islands for intimate jungle infantry combat combined with land and sea vehicle warfare. You’ll notice how a mode like Breakthrough shines when played on this map. Defenders can stay hidden and use the terrain to hold the line, but attackers will have several options: flanking, sending in infantry, or utilizing landing boats for a frontal assault.
Wield New Weapons and Gadgets
Through your fights in Chapter 6, you can unlock new weapons and gadgets to spice up your arsenal. Some of these powerful tools are Chapter Rewards, meaning they’ll be rewarded when you earn Chapter XP and reach the required Chapter Ranks.
So, what’s coming? For the Support class, we have the Type 11 LMG Chapter Reward and the Model 37 shotgun, which should cater to your mid- and short distance needs. Assault players will be able to equip the M2 Carbine, an agile and fully automatic rifle great for clearing the jungles.
On the Gadget side, we find the Assaults’ vehicle-busting M1A1 Bazooka. This is a supreme anti-tank tool at long range, but you might want to use another tactic when you’re up close.
The devastating Lunge Mine Gadget will arrive with Chapter 6, too. Assault and Support players can use this unique tool to counter enemy tanks.
Deploy as a New Elite
A new Elite soldier featuring a signature look, persona, voice*, and melee weapon is coming with Chapter 6: Into the Jungle. (This page previously mentioned three new Elites coming with Chapter 6. Two of these will now release at a later stage. Learn more on the Elites page.)
Misaki Yamashiro
Focused and unrelenting, Misaki is a highly skilled assault specialist. Despite her young age, she’s experienced in jungle and tropical theaters of war. Misaki’s truly deadly in close quarters, where she wields a Commando Machete as her signature melee weapon. This Elite will be unlockable in a unique way. Instead of purchasing Misaki in the Armory, earn Chapter Rank to unlock her as a Chapter Reward. Reach Chapter Rank 40 before Chapter 6 ends and deploy as this fierce warrior.
Progress and Earn Rewards in Chapter 6
Climbing Chapter Rank is how you’ll earn the best gear that Chapter 6 has to offer. You’ll progress through these 40 ranks simply by playing Battlefield V when the Chapter is active. On your journey towards max rank you’ll earn emblems, weapon skins, and uniforms – but also grander rewards like weapons and, at the very end, Elite soldier Misaki Yamashiro.
As usual, the Weekly Challenges can earn you even more rewards through your efforts on the battlefield. Choose your path in these challenge trees and earn Chapter XP, customization items, and full Chapter Rank tiers.
Deploy today with Battlefield V Year 2 Edition
Enjoy your time with Chapter 6: Into the Jungle. If you’ve not yet joined the all-out war of Battlefield V, the best way is through Battlefield V: Year 2 Edition. The Chapter 6 Premium Booster Pack
If you want to boost your Chapter 6 battles, the Chapter 6 Premium Booster Pack may be something for you. Found in the in-game store, this pack contains 2,000 Battlefield Currency, three Special Assignments, and, activated upon purchase, a 20% Chapter XP Boost along with six Tier Catch-Ups, used to jump reward tiers in your Chapter Rank progression. Two soldier outfits of the Epic rarity level will be yours, too: the Overlord (U.S.) and Homeland Guardian (Japan).
Finally, The Chapter 6 Premium Booster Pack lets you adorn your unlocked M1 Garand, Type 99 Arisaka, Type 97, and M3 Grease Gun weapons with the Gilded Epic Weapon Skins and your Corsair plane with the Spectacle paint job.
