F1® Mobile Racing Update 25 Notes

A new update is available today for F1® Mobile Racing, the official free-to-play* handheld videogame of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship™ on iOS and Android devices.

An array of improvements and new features await you in this update. Read below to check them out!

Miami International Autodrome

Take to the streets of Miami and experience the sheer speed and excitement the Miami International Autodrome has to offer. With a total of 19 corners and 3 DRS zones, centred around the Hard Rock Stadium, this circuit presents players with new challenges. New events will be available for players to experience this new venue for themselves.

Slipstreaming

A technique commonly used in all of motorsport, slipstreaming occurs when a car is aligned behind another to gain extra speed. This is thanks to the car in the front punching a hole in the air, and thus greatly reducing the air resistance applied to the car behind.

This feature is currently only implemented in Career Mode, Event Mode and Showdown races, as we continue to tweak and balance this feature to ensure fair and competitive racing in duels.

Updated official team cars

All the 10 official team cars have been updated to reflect the various changes that occurred since the start of the season. Various cosmetic and aerodynamic parts were updated to accurately represent their real world counterparts.

New Shop Makeover

The in-game shop has received a makeover to improve navigation in a much quicker and efficient way. Find what you’re looking for with ease and get back to racing.

Wet Weather Circuits

A brand-new feature for F1 Mobile Racing! Rain brings a whole new set of challenges for drivers to tackle while racing in these conditions. Experience racing the world fastest motorsport in the most challenging of conditions on a handful of selected circuits in the 2022 Official Car Event, and see if you can handle the challenge.

Update 25 patch notes

Mission & Challenge Tracking:

• Fixed issue where the Scuderia Ferrari team requisite "Finish in the Top 3 of all Grand Prix of a season in Expert I or better" did not track progress correctly.
• Fixed issue where some Scuderia Ferrari team requisites could not be claimed.
• Fixed issue where Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN team requisite "Finish in the Top 6 of a season in Expert I or better" did not track progress correctly.
• Fixed issue where McLaren F1 Team requisite "Start 9 races in the TOP 5" did not track progress correctly.
• Fixed issue where mission “Qualify 1 Position(s) ahead of Zhou Guanyu” would track incorrectly.
• Fixed issue with challenge "Finish at least 2 positions ahead of your teammate in a race" could be completed in qualifying.
• Fixed issue where mission "Finish at least 0.5 seconds ahead of your teammate" would have a counter of 0/0.
• Fixed issue with challenge “Reach the Pro League Division” would not appear in any of the infinite challenge slots.
• Fixed issue where challenge "Complete a duel using a car with the Power stat of at least 550" would not complete.
• Fixed issue where "Unlock your first Customisation slot" did not complete retrospectively.
• Renamed the challenges "Change your livery OR Colours" and "Unlock your first Customisation Slot" to be more specific to their unique requirements.

Career Mode:

• Fixed issue where entering Career Mode would potentially cause a black screen to appear.
• Fixed issue where the player car would become invisible when entering Career Mode.
• Fixed issue where some Career Mode missions would require more Grands Prix events than available to complete.
• Fixed issue when claiming Career Mode mission rewards would potentially crash the game.

General Improvements:

• Fixed the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team official team car DRS wing animation.
• Fixed issue where decals in Livery Editor could not be placed on the front wing of the 2022 Technical Regulations Car.
• Fixed issue where the back arrow would disappear if the player had recently received a network error.
• Fixed texture issue where a car shadow would not be present over tyre marks on some circuits.
• Fixed texture issue where player tyre marks would appear suspended in the air on some circuits.

Additional Improvements:

• Improved lighting in Bahrain International Circuit and Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
• Fixed missing rumble strips in Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
• Fixed DRS zone triggers in Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
