Honoring our Frontline Healthcare Workers
EA Partners with 13 Professional Sports Leagues for “THE REAL HEROES PROJECT” Initiative
Today, we’re honored to share that we’re partnering with 13 professional sports leagues for “The Real Heroes Project,” a collaborative initiative celebrating our healthcare workers at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of our Stay & Play initiative, top esports athletes across FIFA, Madden NFL, and Apex Legends are coming together to recognize our healthcare heroes.
Athletes representing the ATP, esports, MLB, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, NFL, NHL, NWSL, USGA, WNBA, WTA and WWE are dedicating their jerseys and uniforms to healthcare heroes who are supporting their local community. Recognizing the pandemics' true heroes, the athletes are covering their own name and replacing it with a healthcare worker’s name in addition to releasing a personal thank you message to them.
We’re humbled to have our top esports athletes participate in “The Real Heroes Project” across franchises fan favorites like reigning FIFA eWorld Cup Champion Mohammed “MoAuba” Harkous, 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup Champion Mosaad "Msdossary" Aldossary, Madden NFL 19 Bowl Champion Drini “Drini” Gjoka, Madden NFL 18 Bowl Champion Seamus “Young Kiv” Kivlen, and professional Apex Legends competitors Eric "Snip3down" Wrona and Bowen "Monsoon" Fuller will be recognizing healthcare workers and sharing personal messages.
Everyone worldwide can join these athletes on social media. Dedicate your personal jerseys and team apparel to a frontline individual and use the hashtag #TheRealHeroes to share.
