Want to get the most out of submachine guns in Battlefield™ V? Flakfire takes you through the basics in this video.

Mostly associated with the Medic Class, submachine guns (or SMGs) are designed for the up close and personal combat you’re likely to encounter on maps like Rotterdam and Devastation. Their high rate of fire can do a lot of damage in close quarters, but at range you’ll find damage falls off quite a bit. 

Recoil is a definite concern as these weapons tend to have quite a kick. A great way to counteract this is to move your mouse or control stick down when firing. Burst firing can also help you maintain your aim.

Remember that Specialization helps you refine your weapon depending on your playstyle. You can choose options like reducing the time needed to aim, or increasing your rate of fire, accuracy, or control. Of course if you change your mind you can always reset those selections in the Specialization menu and start again.
