One way is transfers, searching for that top talent to bring into your club using the Global Transfer Network can give you some great insight into possible additions for your team. Let's dive in deep and take a look at how to set up your scouting network to find that next superstar transfer.
Getting the most out of your scouts starts with giving them the right instructions. Navigate to the transfer tab of the menus, find scouts and go to scout instructions. Here you have six instruction sets you can use to determine what your scouts should be looking for. There are options to look for specific positions or attributes. For instance, if you are trying to find an up-and-coming talent with a high potential, use the promising attribute. You can also select the age range or even contract length to try to snap up a bargain on someone whose contract might be running out. Once you have these instructions set, over time your scouts will bring back possible options that fit the profile you are looking for. From there, you can choose to scout further and gain more knowledge about them.
Improving your scouts is another way to find the best talent. Most teams will already have a few scouts in place, but upgrading them can go a long way. Better scouts bring better information back for you. Scouts with a high experience rating will bring back more players for you and scouts with higher judgement rating will bring back higher quality players. A 5 star scout will always be your best bet to bring back players closer to what you have been scouting for.
Further scouting is the final trick to finding just the right player to improve your club. Once the reports start coming back with a list of talents, select a prospect and scout the player. Depending on how good your scout is, you will get a full report back in a few days. This will reveal more information like their overall rating and stats, plus their value. This is important to know when entering the transfer system.
