Inspiration:

  • The Mark VI Interceptor was also referred to as the Supremacy-class Starfighter, a mainstay fighter in the Sith Empire
  • Being a swarm-fighter we took inspiration from the B1 Battle Droid with its Droid Battalion ability, you’ll have stacks of Mark VIs that are destroyed 2 at a time every time you take damage, and a variety of ways to add more stacks.
  • Ever since Boba Scion of Jango, the design team has had a running joke of adding Annihilate to a Basic ability. We need to find a new running joke now.

 

Strategy Tips:

  • Mark VI Interceptor is a great reinforcement, and timing this reinforcement can impact when you can use the instant defeat
  • Earn additional Devouring Swarm stacks through Defense Up and Retribution 
  • Works well with: TIE Dagger, Fury-class Interceptor, B-28 Bomber, Scimitar

 

FAQ:

  • If Sith Empire Trooper is a tank why is the ship the opposite?
    • Being a swarm-fighter, any individual fighter would be very easy to destroy, so we wanted to lean into its fragility with the Devouring Swarm ability and not the tankiness of the pilot. However, we added Sith Empire Trooper’s ability to ignore Protection when the unit has Retribution.
  • How do I earn the Mark VI Interceptor?
    • This is a Galactic Chase, you will be able to farm this ship on all Fleet Nodes

ABILITIES:

BASIC: Deadly Stack

Final Text: Deal Physical damage to target enemy. Mark VI Interceptor gains additional effects based on how many stacks of Devouring Swarm Mark VI has:

  • If below 10 stacks and another non-capital Sith Ship ally is active: gain 10 stacks of Devouring Swarm.
  • If above 20 stacks: gain Critical Damage Up for 2 turns.
  • If above 30 stacks: Shock to target enemy for 2 turns.
  • If above 40 stacks and the Capital Ship is Sith Empire and it's Mark VI Interceptor's turn: lose 40 stacks and instantly defeat target enemy.

Devouring Swarm: +2% Offense per stack

SPECIAL 1: Can't Outrun This - Cooldown 4

Final Text: Deal Special damage to a target enemy and call another ally to assist. Mark VI Interceptor gains Accuracy Up for 2 turns and 10 Speed (Max 100) and 10 stacks of Devouring Swarm for the rest of the encounter. All enemies are inflicted with Potency Down for 2 turns.

SPECIAL 2: The Devouring Sacrifice - Cooldown 3

Final Text: Deal Special damage to all enemies. All allies gain Tenacity Up for 2 turns.

If Mark VI Interceptor has more than 4 stacks of Devouring Swarm:

  • Lose 3 stacks of Devouring Swarm.
  • Mark VI gains Retribution for 1 turn.
  • All allies gain Critical Chance Up for 2 turns.
  • Inflict enemies with Critical Damage Down and Speed Down, which can't be evaded or resisted, for 2 turns.

UNIQUE 1: Devastating Sensation

Final Text: At the start of battle, Mark VI Interceptor's Max Health is set to 1 and it has no Protection, which can't be prevented. Mark VI is immune to Damage Over Time, Max Health changes and Max Protection changes. Mark VI starts with 10 stacks of Devouring Swarm, and can't be defeated or destroyed while it has Devouring Swarm. When Mark VI Interceptor takes damage, it loses 2 stacks of Devouring Swarm and dispels all debuffs on itself. If Mark VI Interceptor has no stacks of Devouring Swarm, Mark VI is immediately destroyed. When Mark VI Interceptor has Retribution, its attacks ignores enemy Protection. When Retribution expires, gain 5 stacks of Devouring Swarm, doubled if dispelled. Whenever an ally gains Defense Up Mark VI Interceptor gains Accuracy Up and Advantage for 1 turn, and 2 stacks of Devouring Swarm.

 

REINFORCEMENT: The Supreme Empire

Final Text: Enter Battle Gain 5 stacks of Devouring Swarm for every other ally reinforced ship. 

If the Capital Ship is Sith Empire: Mark VI Interceptor gains 30 stacks of Devouring Swarm instead for every other ally reinforced ship. Mark VI gains a stack of Ferocity for 2 turns.
