VOL. 6: HEAD TO HEAD UPDATE

Jump straight into the competition in Vol. 6 with a new PVP mode, offering immediate action from the MP garage, and featuring weekly playlists. The head to head intensifies with Audi's entrance, highlighting their racing heritage. The RS 6 Avant (2020) debuts, bringing its unique elegance and power to NFS, and joining it are the fully customizable R8 Coupé (2019) and S5 Sportback (2017), all with unique bodykits, custom liveries, and distinct handling and audio. Earn status across both SP and MP with the new Rank system, and complete a brand new Speed Pass. Vol. 6 also introduces a new approach to premium content, replacing Customs and Swag Packs with an optional Premium Speed Pass^* track that grants you access to the top-tier stuff.

DEDICATED PVP MODE

Need for Speed Unbound just got even better for the racing purists. Introducing the dedicated PVP mode – your direct gateway to the heart of racing action, accessible immediately from the MP garage. It's all about getting you into full, competitive races faster and easier. To enhance this experience, we're adding 25 new PVP races, available in both the dedicated mode and Free Roam.

WEEKLY PVP PLAYLISTS

Each week you’ll have three rotating playlists to choose from, plus a Quick Race option, catering to a diverse range of racing styles and preferences. This includes a featured playlist of the week, where participating racers can earn boosted XP. Adding to the excitement in Vol. 6, we're introducing thematic Audi-focused and "NFS Legends" playlists alongside performance tiers, including four new S+ Tier Playlists. Whether engaging through the dedicated PVP mode or Open Playlists in Free Roam, these playlists are your gateway to intensified competition.

AUDI IS BACK

Audi arrives with a statement, supporting the new dedicated PVP mode with their renowned competitive heritage. This update features the return of the Audi R8 Coupé (2019) and S5 Sportback (2017) to NFS, alongside the franchise debut of the Audi RS 6 Avant (2020). Each model is not only fully customizable with multiple distinct bodykits but also shares a meticulously crafted handling model that exemplifies Audi's signature driving experience. Complementing this, every Audi car boasts its own unique engine audio, adding an individualized touch of realism. Players can also unlock a Rare Custom version of each model through the Premium Speed Pass.

RANK SYSTEM

Introducing 'Rank' in Need for Speed Unbound, a new way to earn respect and showcase prowess as you play through single-player or dominate multiplayer to climb the ranks. This status symbol is prominently displayed on your Banner, letting everyone recognize your achievements. As Vol. 6 kicks off, everyone starts at Rank 1, but as you advance, your Rank endures across Volumes, never resetting. Each new Rank Division conquered unlocks a Decal, Banner Frame, and a Banner Title (a customization feature introduced in Vol. 6), turning every advancement into a visible badge of honor and skill.

NFS LEGENDS CONTENT

The new "NFS Legends" content categorization is where history meets the future as we drive toward building the ultimate NFS experience in one place for the first time. Vol. 6 ignites this legacy by introducing Darius' Custom Audi R8 Coupé '19, a modern take on his ride in NFS Carbon, in the Premium Speed Pass. Additionally, NFS Legends-themed playlists in the Weekly Playlist Programming kick off with a nod to where it all began, 1994's The Need for Speed, showcasing the iconic Ferrari Testarossa Coupé (1984) from this beloved classic.

SPEED PASS 

A new Volume means a new Speed Pass and we’ve got another one packed with customization content across 45 tiers of unlocks. Headlining the Vol. 6 Speed Pass are the Audi R8 Coupé (2019) and S5 Sportback (2017) with multiple bodykits for each to fully customize the new rides. There are even XP Boosts to be unlocked that’ll accelerate your Rank and Speed Pass progression.
