There was some late drama in Siena as Milan managed to steal victory from the home side with a score of 1-2, securing direct qualification to next season’s major European Club competition. The game-winning goal was scored by defender Philippe Mexès, who did so after getting his own rebound. The game winning goal occurred only three minutes after the club tied the game with a penalty.
Club América defeated Monterrey 4-3 on aggregate and advanced to the final of the Clausura Liguilla. In the two-leg series, striker Christian Benítez scored three of the club’s four goals, including the series-decider. Club América faces off against Cruz Azul in the final, with the first leg played on Thursday.
The Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku joined West Brom’s match against Manchester United in the 2nd half and proceeded to score three goals en route to a 5-5 come-from-behind draw. Man United led by three goals with just over 10 minutes remaining, before Lukaku would score two of his three goals, including the game-tying goal in the 86th minute. Just imagine if he played the entire match!
