Fight together or die alone. Battlefield 3's new co-op mode lets you and a friend experience a compelling combination of the single-player campaign's cinematic action and the multiplayer's open-ended replayability.
Thousands at GamesCom have seen this new addition to the franchise on the show floor, and now the Battlefield 3 Blog has posted fresh details on the co-op campaign that runs parallel to the single player storyline. Their detailed breakdown covers the first two parts of the Exfiltration mission, and gives you an idea of the diverse gameplay experiences DICE is packing into this mode.
Aside from Battlelog integration and the "Man Down!" mechanic, other features of the co-op mode include unlockable weapons you can earn and bring into regular multiplayer modes, and randomised elements that keep each playthrough fresh.
Battlefield 3 is the latest entry in the critically acclaimed first person shooter franchise, due out October 28th. Pre-order your copy of Battlefield 3: Limited Edition on Origin today and receive access to the open beta in September.
