Boasting the deepest, most explosive talent pool of any MMA organization on the planet, the UFC has built its reputation on showcasing the best and brightest athletes that mixed martial arts has to offer. This spring, EA SPORTS UFC will do the same.

Brad Pickett

Since making his UFC debut in November of 2011, Brad “One Punch” Pickett has consistently proven to fans that win or lose they can expect fireworks whenever he steps into the Octagon. In his six UFC appearances to date, all as a Bantamweight, Pickett has earned five post-fight awards – four for Fight of the Night and one for Knockout of the Night. After putting together a 3-3 record in the UFC, Pickett is slated to make his Flyweight debut with the organization in early 2014.

Rapidly making a case for himself as the most dominant Heavyweight to ever step inside the Octagon, “The Baddest Man on the Planet”, Cain Velasquez doesn’t look to be letting go of his title anytime soon. An outstanding wrestler who can also throw leather with best in the world, Velasquez sets himself apart from his opponents thanks to a seemingly bottomless gas tank that allows him to push the pace and overwhelm the opposition far into the championship rounds. Since reclaiming the belt from Junior Dos Santos and avenging the only loss of his career at the end of 2012, Velasquez has been unstoppable in each of his ensuing appearances.

Scott Jorgensen

Possessing a well-rounded game and a knack for pushing the pace inside the Octagon, Jorgensen has gone toe-to-toe with some of best fighters on the planet including Urijah Faber, Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao. Following his sixth UFC bout, Jorgensen dropped down a weight class, making the move from Bantamweight to Flyweight.

Four of Swanson’s past five wins have come by way of knockout.

Frank Mir

Stepping into the Octagon for the first time in only his third pro bout, Frank Mir has been a staple of the UFC’s Heavyweight division since 2001. After winning the Heavyweight title from Tim Sylvia in 2004, Mir was sidelined for 20 months by a near career-ending motorcycle accident. His return to the sport is recognized as one of the greatest comebacks in UFC history, with Mir managing to fight his way back to become the division’s interim champion in 2008. An impressive ground game has helped Mir secure devastating submission wins over, Sylvia, Brock Lesnar, Cheick Kongo and Minotauro Nogueira.

Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo became the UFC’s inaugural Featherweight champion on Nov. 20, 2010 and hasn’t let the title go since. Following his first UFC title defense against Mark Hominick, the former WEC champ hasn’t looked back, defending it five times against some of the division’s top talent, including Kenny Florian, Chad Mendes and Frankie Edgar. Considered one of MMA best pound-for-pound fighters, Aldo is an adept finisher with 15 of his 23 career wins coming by way of knockout.

Since making his professional debut in 2008, Ricardo Lamas has been hard at work cementing his status as a fighter to watch out for in the Featherweight division. After racking up a 4-2 record in the WEC, Lamas transitioned into the UFC in 2011, scoring a first-round TKO win over Matt Grice in his debut. The Bully would go on to log a Submission of the Night performance against Cub Swanson at UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos and went undefeated in his first four UFC bouts.

The Taekwondo black belt, most recently scored an impressive KO victory over Rich Franklin and is currently the Mentor and Chief Coach of The Ultimate Fighter: China.

After suffering back to back losses for the first time in his prolific career against Jim Miller and Michael Johnson, Lauzon wasted no time getting back to his winning ways, closing out 2013 with a victory over Mac Danzig.

Easton made his UFC debut on October 1, 2011, scoring a TKO win over Byron Bloodworth. He was also notably awarded Fight of the Night honors for his April 6, 2013 split-decision loss to Brad Pickett.

Prior to dropping a tight split decision to Takeya Mizugaki in 2013, Perez was riding an impressive eight fight win-streak which he’ll be looking to start up again as soon as possible.

Chuck Liddell

The epitome of a UFC “Hall of famer”, Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell utilised his seek-and-destroy style of stand-up to rack up the second most career knockouts in UFC history, behind only Anderson Silva. Liddell held the Light Heavyweight title from April 2005 to May 2007 and is largely considered to be the top fighter of all time for his weight class. He also boasts one of the most memorable knockout celebrations in UFC history.

A cast member on the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter, Griffin’s televised season-finale bout against Stephen Bonnar became an instant classic, and is widely credited with putting the UFC on the mainstream map in North America. Never short on heart, Griffin went on to become a veteran of the Octagon, capturing the Light Heavyweight champion in 2008.

Chan Sung Jung

One of the most popular fighters hitting the canvas for the UFC in recent years, Chan Sung Jung also boasts one of the best nicknames in the game – and a has a style to match. Known for his unrelenting pressure, the “Zombie” never stops coming. Combine that with an incredible ability to absorb damage and it’s easy to see why Jung’s fights are often memorable wars. After winning Fight of the Year honors against Leonard Garcia in 2010, he became the first fighter in UFC history to submit someone with a Twister when he bested Garcia in their 2011 rematch.
