MADDEN NFL 24 MOBILE - LEAGUE SIEGE

Everything you need to know about League Siege in Madden NFL 24 Mobile

Hello, Madden NFL Mobile Fans!

First and foremost, thank you all for playing Madden NFL 24 Mobile! We feel the excitement from you each year, and we know how passionate you are about the game.

In this edition of Gridiron Notes, we are going to discuss the brand-new competitive mode, League Siege. This new way to engage will focus on defeating the opposing League’s Siege board with the least amount of drives and for the most amount of points. Let’s dive into how it all works!

WHERE TO FIND LEAGUE SIEGE?

With the app store update on 11/27/23, the new Leagues screen includes the League Siege panel as well as several other updates. The League vs. League panel was updated to include rank, tier, and record displays. A Leaderboard button is also present on the panel. Tapping the Leaderboard button will take the user to the League vs. League Leaderboard screen.

The new League Siege panel also has rank, tier, and record displays as well as a Leaderboard button and will tell you whether or not you have a Siege active. While a Siege is active, the League Siege panel will change to display the following:

  • Time Remaining: a countdown timer that indicates the time remaining in the Siege. The Siege will run for ~22 hours
  • User/Opponent Siege Score: displays both the user and opponent League’s logo as well as their current score in the Siege
  • User/Opponent Siege Capture Count: display both the user and opponent League’s number of zones captured of the max (16) zones

Tapping the Leaderboard button will take the user to the League Siege Leaderboard Screen where you can see various relevant information on the current League Siege season.

WHEN DO I PLAY LEAGUE SIEGE?

League Siege seasons are two weeks long and will begin every other Saturday. Each season will have 3 matches per week on Mon/Weds/Fri. Before each Siege match, users within a league will have 24 hours to prepare in a number of different ways before the Siege match officially begins.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A LEAGUE SIEGE MATCH?

The Siege Board consists of (16) defensive “zones”. Each zone will have:

  • An assigned Siege Point bonus value
  • An assigned Capture Point requirement value
  • A defending League member or a bot (*if you don’t have 16 active members)
  • A connection link to another zone

Before a League Siege match starts, league admins will be able to strategically adjust their League’s defensive setup by placing league members on the 16 zones of their League’s Siege board. Up to 12 zones will also have Mods. League admin will be able to edit the location of each Mod before a Siege match starts. Mods can change general play rules or provide boosts to all members within a League. There are Global and Local Mods. The Local Mods only apply their effect to the zone they are placed on, while the three Global Mods apply their effect across the entire Siege. League members will also be able to improve Global Mod boosts for a given Siege via a contribution mechanic. Some Mod types are as follows:

  • % Bonus to Coach Playstyle (Global)
  • Use only Long Pass Plays (Local)
  • 20 Yard First Downs (Local)
  • 60 Second Drives (Local)

Defender position, Mod position, and Mod ranks are all locked after the 24-hour preparation phase and can only be edited once the next preparation phase occurs.

HOW DO I PLAY LEAGUE SIEGE?

Once a Siege match starts, there will be a toggle between the home League’s Siege board and the opponent’s Siege board. The opponent’s Siege board will initially only show 3 defensive zones available to attack while all the other zones’ details are hidden. You can tap on a revealed Defensive Zone to see:

  • The defender's nameplate with OVR info
  • Defensive Weakness, if any, the defender has
  • How many drives have been attempted vs the zone
  • How many capture points have been scored and are required to capture the zone
  • What Mod, if any, is in the zone
  • Scout the defender's lineup
  • View film for drives that have occurred in the zone
  • Launch a drive vs an opponent zone if you have a Siege Ticket and the zone has not been captured yet

Each league member is allotted (10) Siege Tickets to attack the opponent’s Siege board (You can also obtain an additional (2) tickets using League Tokens during the Siege). These tickets reset at the start of the next Siege so any unused tickets will be lost.

While a zone is uncaptured, any member from the opposing League can launch a drive vs the zone if they have a Siege Ticket and that user doesn’t have another drive in progress. Important Note: this means that Leagues will need to communicate to avoid starting more drives in a zone than points they may need to capture it!

Users are required to score a number of points within a zone to capture that zone. Capturing a defensive zone will award the capturing League the points scored within that zone as well as the zone's Capture Point value. Additionally, it will turn off any Global Mods and reveal all the connected zones’ details, including the assigned defender and Mods present, if any.

LEAGUE SIEGE SCORING

All points scored within a Defensive Zone, up to the required number of points needed to capture the zone, are added to your League's Siege total score.

  • If a zone requires (40) points to capture it and a League has already scored (36) points within the zone, scoring a touchdown only nets (4) points toward the League's Siege point total

Capturing a Defensive Zone awards your League that zone's capture point bonus (ex: 200 points for the initial zones). The two elements above combine for a maximum number of points your League can gain from a single Defensive Zone.

  • A zone requires (40) points to capture and rewards (200) points for capturing it. A League would be able to gain a maximum of (240) points from that zone

The first League to successfully capture all (16) zones will receive bonus points to be added to their total score. The League with the highest total score at the end of the Siege will be declared the winner. At the end of the Siege, both League’s total score is added to their Siege Season total points which determines their Siege leaderboard rank. Matches can end in a tie and tied leaderboard ranks result in both Leagues receiving that rank's rewards.

LEAGUE SIEGE REWARDS & LEAGUE TOKEN STORE

All League Siege matches and seasons will exclusively reward a brand new currency, League Tokens. Depending on what Siege tier a league is in, each Siege match will pay out League Tokens based on the result of the match. Similarly, the Siege leaderboard tier and rank inside that tier will determine the amount of League Tokens a league receives at the end of a Siege season.

Specifically for the initial Siege, each league will start in the Siege leaderboard tier based on their LVL tier. Going forward, they are two separate items.

  • You could be HOF in Siege but E1 in LVL

For a user to qualify for Siege season leaderboard rewards, they must complete a minimum of (35) Siege drives within the 2 week season and be in the League when Siege leaderboard payouts occur.

League Tokens can be used in the newly created League Token Store to exchange for several different items:

  • Siege Tickets: limited to (2) per Siege match
  • Mythic Badges: limited to (2) per week
  • Coins, TP, weights, headsets

You will also be able to acquire a limited amount of League Tokens with Madden Cash each day and League Tokens will also be available for completing daily/weekly League goals.

LEAGUE GOALS

League goals have been revamped to include the aforementioned League Tokens. Users will now see new daily and weekly goals created to assist in the acquisition of League Tokens. These are visible in the Goals screen, which you can access from the updated League Hub.
