Player Ratings Update: Week 13
See how huge performances from superstars like Travis Kelce and Baker Mayfield have affected their Madden ratings.
Madden NFL 21

Week 13 in the NFL was rather unique: Cam Newton threw for just 69 passing yards in a resounding 45-0 shutout of the Los Angeles Chargers; Darren Waller dropped 200 yards and two touchdowns on the New York Jets; two quarterbacks from the same draft class, Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen, threw four touchdown passes apiece; and of all the running backs in the league, the New York Giants’ Wayne Gallman led the league with 135 rushing yards.
Of course epic runs, crazy catches, and incredible plays abounded all over the NFL. And the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is working hard to tweak, refine, and polish ratings across the league based on real-world performances. Let’s take a look and see who’s up in the ranks and who’s down. Access the full Madden NFL 21 Player Ratings Database HERE.
Week 13: Who’s Up
Travis Kelce | TE | Kansas City Chiefs
Alright, this is getting absurd. The Kansas City Chiefs offense is on another level, and after landing on 99 Club-watch a few weeks back, Travis Kelce has done it. He broke through with an 8/136/1 line on Sunday against the Broncos and he joins his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, in the prestigious Madden NFL 21 99 Club.

Kelce has been on fire this season, with at least eight receptions in five games straight, five 100+ yard games, and eight touchdowns through Week 13. Honestly, it was only a matter of time. Travis Kelce, welcome to the 99 Club!
Baker Mayfield | QB | Cleveland Browns
Baker Mayfield has been heating up in recent weeks and his coming off his best statistical game of the entire season. In Week 13 against the Titans, Mayfield posted a 75.8% completion rate, with 334 yards passing, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also caught a pass on a nifty trick play. Mayfield hasn’t thrown a pick in five straight outings now, and he and his Cleveland Browns are trending up just in time for a potential playoff run.
Darren Waller | TE | Las Vegas Raiders
Darren Waller is a special tight end. And if his 200 yards, two-touchdown game in Week 13 doesn’t do it for you, we’re not sure what will. Waller was targeted a ridiculous 17 times in a win over the Jets, and rebounded from a Week 12 dud in a huge way. Fans can’t expect this type of production from Waller every week, but it’s a solid reminder of what this guy is capable of, and the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is taking note.
Week 13: Who’s Down
Todd Gurley | RB | Atlanta Falcons
Arguably one of the most boring running backs in the NFL right now, Todd Gurley couldn’t get anything going against New Orleans in Week 13. He ran for just 16 yards on his eight attempts, for a measly average of 2.0 yards per carry. Gurley’s got a 3.6 ypc average on the season, despite his nine touchdowns. He’s really only had one solid game all season back in Week 5 against Carolina where he put up 121 yards on 14 attempts but has been lackluster otherwise. It’s no surprise that the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Gurley down a notch this week.
Derrick Henry | RB | Tennessee Titans
The Titans big back has been steamrolling this season, and coming into Week 13, he had posted three-straight 100+ yard games. But Derrick Henry struggled on Sunday in a loss against the Browns, logging just 60 rush yards on his 15 attempts. Without solid production from Henry the Titans offense struggled. Trailing 38-7 at halftime, Tennessee did stage a late comeback attempt scoring four TDs in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. Yeah, it was ugly. The Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Henry down a bit this week due to the bad beat on Sunday.
