SPLIT 2 PRO LEAGUE GROUPS & COMPETITION FORMAT
Below are the 150 Apex Legends teams that will compete in the Split 2 Pro League. The 30 teams in each region have been seeded into three groups of 10 teams each, using performance across Split 1 and the Split 2 Pro League Qualifier.
As a reminder, the Split 2 Pro League Regular Season kicks off on Saturday, March 11th (March 26th in APAC N) and features teams competing in a triple round-robin format, where each team will play 36 matches across six series of six matches each. The Regional Finals will subsequently follow the triple-round-robin featuring the best 20 teams in each region clashing on the final day of the Regular Season in a thrilling match point format series.
On the line for teams during the Split 2 Regular Season is our $500,000 USD Regular Season prize pool, and the opportunity to qualify for the in-person $1,000,000 USD Split 2 Playoffs taking place July 2023 in London!
We announced previously that regional slot distribution for the Split 2 Playoffs would be, in part, determined by Split 1 Playoffs performance, where the better a region’s teams performed in the Split 1 Playoffs, the more spots that region would gain for the Split 2 Playoffs.
Following the Split 1 Playoffs, we are happy to announce that the Split 2 Playoffs will feature the following regional slot distribution:
- In NA, 11 teams will qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs, including the winner of the Regional Finals and the top ten teams ranked by Regular Season points.
- In EMEA, 10 teams will qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs, including the winner of the Regional Finals and the top nine teams ranked by Regular Season points.
- In APAC N, 9 teams will qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs, including the winner of the Regional Finals and the top eight teams ranked by Regular Season points.
- In SA and APAC S, 5 teams (per region) will qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs, including the winner of the Regional Finals and the top four teams ranked by Regular Season points.

CHALLENGER CIRCUIT SPLIT 2 SCHEDULE + REGISTRATION
Lastly, during Split 2, the Challenger Circuit will run parallel to the Pro League Regular Season, providing amateur teams with an opportunity to compete in open-registration tournaments for the chance to qualify into the Last Chance Qualifier, and subsequently, the $2,000,000 ALGS Year 3 Championship.
Split 2 of the Challenger Circuit will begin in late March This split will feature four open registration weekend tournaments in North America, EMEA, APAC North, APAC South, and South America.
Based on the number of teams that have already qualified for the Year 3 Championship, after the 4 Challenger Circuit tournaments in Split 2, at least the following number of teams in each region will qualify for the Last Chance Qualifier based on their performance throughout Split 2 of the Challenger Circuit:
- North America - 13 teams
- EMEA - 12 teams
- APAC North - 10 teams
- APAC South - 12 teams
- South America - 10 teams
The exact number of qualifying Challenger Circuit teams participating in the LCQ will depend on the number of Championship qualified teams from each region and will be confirmed after the Split 2 Playoffs conclude.
And much like in Split 1 with the PLQ, in Split 2, the winning team from each Challenger Circuit competition will automatically qualify for the Last Chance Qualifier, so no team is ever out of contention!
