Apex Legends Global Series - Update
Learn about additional changes coming to the ALGS due to the Coronavirus.
UPDATE: In addition to ALGS Points, prize money will be at stake in Online Tournament #2. The postponed Premier Event was set to award USD $100k, so we started there, but decided we’d up the ante a little more for just this weekend’s competition. Players will now compete for a share of USD $300K (please see the breakdown below). We are also working on plans to increase the number of online tournaments with prize money. Stay tuned for additional announcements in the near future.

TL;DR
- GLL Paris Premier Event #1 is postponed
- Online Tournament #2 (March 21 & 23) players will now compete for USD $300k and ALGS Points
- Online Tournament #3 (April 4 & 6) registration will open at 10:00 AM PDT on March 24
Premier Event #1
We announced the suspension of all Apex Legends Global Series Live Events until the global Coronavirus situation improves. As such, the GLL Paris Premier Event, scheduled for April 24-26, has been postponed. Despite the addition of prize money to Online Tournament #2, the GLL Paris Premier Event will feature a USD $100k prize pool, as planned, when it is rescheduled. The PGL Bucharest Premier Event #2, scheduled for May 30-31 will be held if conditions have improved and we believe it is a safe and right time to resume Live Events.
Online Tournament #2
Although Live Events have been suspended, Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournaments will go ahead as planned. Competitors from 8 regions around the world will compete this weekend, March 21 & 23. While Online Tournament #2 will no longer award Live Event Travel or Qualification for the GLL Paris Premier Event #1 as a result of the aforementioned postponement, $300k in prize money will be on the line. In addition, players will have their second opportunity to accumulate ALGS Points, which are used for seeding and to award reserved spots in a Major.
Online Tournament #3
Registration opens for the third Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournament (taking place April 4 & 6) at 10:00 AM PDT on March 24, and registration will close at 12:00 PM PDT on April 2, 2020.
