Career in F1 Mobile Racing: Deep Dive on the New Mode

With the arrival of the 2021 Season Update for F1® Mobile Racing, available now on iOS and Android, the next major update brings you a brand-new way of experiencing the thrills of the FIA Formula One World Championship™ from the best seat in the house, as a driver for any of this season’s teams.

In Career, it takes more than racing to succeed. You must manage your car’s condition, complete objectives, and consistently score points to rise to the top of the championship standings in this deep single-player experience. Ahead of all of that, though, you must prove yourself worthy of a contract from one of the official teams...

F1 Mobile Racing Career Mode: Getting Noticed

Before you can think about which team you’d like to race for, you’ll need to showcase your ability in an F1® machine. Once you have achieved League 7 in Duel mode, Career will be accessible via the main menu. From here, you’ll be able to see contracts offered by each team, along with their respective requirements to fulfil before they offer you a seat.

These requirements vary from one team to another. While some ask you to spend time owning your skills on the circuit, others ask you to beat a specific driver in Showdown. Check the requirements for a team in the Contract menu, complete them, and you’ll be able to drive for that team in Career mode. As you progress through Career, other teams will take an interest in you.

Starting Your Career in F1 Mobile Racing

Once you have signed a deal with a team, you can select which of their current drivers to race alongside in the championship as they will assist you with scoring points, working together to achieve the best possible results for your team.

Once you have signed a contract and chosen your teammate, it’s time to go racing in Qualifying and Race events – whilst keeping a close eye on the performance of your car. Take care of your car’s wear, as this is carried across each session. Managing this across sessions is crucial to success in Career. Should you wish to make repairs, you can use earned, in-game currency to make partial fixes - which is the cheaper option but a short-term solution - or a full repair, which is the more expensive, but longer-lasting option.

Any contract with a team lasts for one full season. Once that season is completed, you can start another one, deciding to either stick with the same team, or join another team that has offered you a contract.

Rise Through the Ranks in Career

There are four types of contracts in F1® Mobile Racing’s Career mode to progress through: Rookie, Challenger, Expert, and Master. You start your journey as a Rookie, and with each season completed, you’ll move closer to the next contract type.

Along with proving yourself to other teams and earning new contract offers, you’ll also earn car parts that are exclusive to the team you’re racing with by completing that team’s missions in Career Mode. These parts can then be used on your official F1 car across all modes, if you own their official car outside of Career. Continue to compete hard and complete team objectives to earn the interest of other teams and unlock unique car parts.
