Here's everything you need to know about the ALGS Year 3 Split 1 Playoffs, live from the Copper Box Arena in London, UK this weekend.
In late-December, we shared the Apex Legends™ Global Series (ALGS) Year 3 Split 1 Playoffs would take place in London, England at the Copper Box Arena from February 2-5, 2023.
Well, the wait is over, and we’re now only a few short days away from watching the best teams from each of the ALGS Pro League’s five regions compete in person to crown a global champion.

Join us for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs! If you’re considering attending the event in person, but haven’t yet secured your seat at the Copper Box Arena, you can purchase your tickets HERE today. While Saturday, Sunday, and 4-day tickets are already sold out, tickets are still available for the Group Stage matches on Thursday and Friday.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT, BROADCAST SCHEDULE, and TALENT
For ALGS fans who can’t make it to London this time around, we’ve compiled all the information you need, right here, so you won’t miss a minute of the action, no matter where you’re watching.
Make sure to set a reminder, as the Split 1 Playoffs start at 17:00 GMT on Thursday, February 2nd, with a 40-team Group Stage spread across the first two days of competition. In the Group Stage, teams will be split into four groups of ten, and each group will play a single six-match series against every other group.
Following the Group Stage, every team will be assigned a starting position in the double elimination Bracket Stage based on their Group Stage performance. The Bracket Stage kicks off at 10:00 GMT on Saturday, February 4th.
Finally, after playing through the double-elimination bracket on Saturday, the top 20 teams will advance to the Match Point Finals, while the rest of the field is eliminated.
The Finals are set to take place on Sunday, February 5th at 12:00 GMT and will consist of a single Match Point format series to determine your ALGS Year 3 Split 1 Playoffs Champion.
In addition to bragging rights, teams in the Split 1 Playoffs will compete for a share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and valuable Playoff Points, which will help teams qualify for the year-end ALGS Championship in Summer 2023.
Additionally, regional slot distribution for the Split 2 Playoffs will be, in part, determined by Split 1 Playoffs performance. The better a region’s teams perform in the Split 1 Playoffs, the more spots that region will gain for the Split 2 Playoffs. For a detailed breakdown of Playoff Points, see the Official Rules.

ALGS fans can watch their favorite teams compete all weekend long on our official Twitch and YouTube channels. And in what is quickly becoming an ALGS live event tradition, fan-favorites NiceWigg and Greek will be joining us on-site in London, providing B-stream coverage on NiceWigg’s Twitch Channel during the Group Stage and hosting a watch party for the Bracket Stage and Finals matches.

MULTIVIEW AT THE SPLIT 1 PLAYOFFS
The award-winning ALGS Multiview experience returns for the Split 1 Playoffs, providing viewers with greater control over how they consume this weekend’s matches.
Multiview puts you in the director's chair and allows you to catch the action from multiple viewpoints, where you'll be able to choose which teams and players to watch with the option to listen to their in-game communications.
As usual, ALGS fans will be able to watch the Playoffs on up to four split-screen windows using the Command Center functionality on twitch.tv/playapex.
TWITCH DROPS
Awesome loot alert! Fans that tune in to the Split 1 Playoffs on Twitch can also earn rewards just for watching, as Twitch Drops will be available on twitch.tv/playapex and through some of your favorite ALGS content creators during the Match Point Finals on Sunday, February 5th!
You’re already set to earn Twitch Drops for watching the Split 1 Playoffs if you linked your account for a previous ALGS broadcast, but if not, follow the steps below to connect your Twitch and EA accounts for the first time.
- Make sure your platform account is linked to your EA Account.
- Create or sign in to your Twitch account and connect it to your EA Account.
- Watch the Finals of the Split 1 Playoffs on Twitch to earn your Drops.
- Claim your Twitch Drops from your inventory as soon as they’re available.

SPLIT 2 PRO LEAGUE QUALIFIER (FEB 11-13, 2023)
Can’t get enough Apex Legends esports? Following the Split 1 Playoffs this weekend, we’re right back into the ALGS action with the Split 2 Pro League Qualifiers (Feb 11-13, 2023). The bottom 8 Pro League teams from each region’s Split 1 Regular Season will battle against top teams from the Challenger Circuit to determine who will advance to the Pro League in Split 2.
