Consider starting out your Battlefield V driver’s education with a transport vehicle. They’re fast, well-armed, and maneuverable. Unfortunately, they’re not heavily armored – so great for getting you to the fight in a hurry but not your best choice for actual heavy combat. That’s what tanks are for.

You’ll have your choice of light or heavy tanks – the former giving you greater speed and the latter more serious armor – and you’ll need to master both driving and firing at the same time. Don’t be afraid to lead the charge, but don’t try to go it alone as you’ll make for easy pickings for enemy infantry and tankers.

And don’t forget tank theft is a real (and effective) element of the game, and it can be devastating to your team when it happens. Always be careful when exiting your tank, and if you can’t do so safely, consider going down with the ship (so to speak). A destroyed tank and respawn for you can hurt your team far less than enemies using your own tank against you.
