Don’t want to waste any of your precious ammo? In this video, Poolshark walks you through how to get the most out of assault rifles in Battlefield™ V.
If you want a quick-firing, short- to mid-range weapon you can’t go wrong with an assault rifle. There are multiple ways to fire this weapon, depending upon your combat situation. You can choose the faster but less accurate hip fire method. For close-range enemies, it’s definitely your best choice, though you’ll have little control over where your spray of bullets will be going. If the enemy is a bit farther away, you’ll have the time to ADS (aim down sight), giving you much better accuracy.
Recoil becomes a bigger issue when targeting longer range opponents. Get to know your weapon and the direction it’s likely to pull to compensate. Try tap fire (one or two shots at a time) and always aim for the chest. It’s much easier to hit center mass and can do a great deal of damage.
Another important thing to remember is that if your target is moving, you’ll need to lead your shot. The further away the enemy is, the more you’ll want to lead because of projectile travel time.
