Pistols serve a variety of important functions in Battlefield V, from supplementary ammo when  your main weapon runs out to an effective coup de grâce for up-close-and-personal encounters, and shouldn’t only be used as a weapon of last resort.

Each sidearm is different. Some (like the M1911) have a large enough magazine to potentially take out an enemy on its own - but more often than not, if you’re down to your sidearm in a major firefight the best you’ll be able to do is damage enemies. It may not save you from needing to reach out to the nearest Medic, but it ultimately could help your squad (and team) in the overall battle.

As with all weapons, practice makes perfect when it comes to firing sidearms so don’t be afraid to reach for yours on the battlefield.
