How to Use Grenades and Explosives
Get the most out of munitions in Battlefield V.
LevelCap gives you some important tips on how to handle grenades and explosives in this Battlefield™ V video.
There are a wide variety of things that go “boom” in Battlefield V, each with their own strengths and weaknesses when thinking about your enemy target. For example, grenades can be extremely useful against infantry or vehicles, depending upon the type you choose. Incendiary grenades are perfect for blocking chokepoints and doorways, but you’ll need sticky grenades to do some serious damage to Fortifications or vehicles.
Sticky dynamite will give you an even bigger (and more damaging) explosion but requires you to get up close and personal with your target. It’ll take some practice to really master this particular explosive and paying attention to things like the turret speed of an enemy tank will help you progress faster.
Rocket launchers like the Panzerfaust and PIAT can give you a similar level of destruction at range. However, without a direct hit, you risk your shot going awry and doing a great deal less damage.
Want to bring enemy traffic to a grinding halt on a highly-traveled road or through a chokepoint? You’re going to want to go with AT mines. They do massive amounts of damage and can destroy tanks pretty quickly. AP mines have a much smaller damage radius and are best used to make enemy infantry think twice about entering an alley in Rotterdam or a tight, snowy pass in Fjell 652.
