How to Survive in Battlefield 4: Top 5 Tips
Tip #1: Jump into Conquest
Unsure what game mode to try first? You’ll learn the ropes quick with the all-time Battlefield classic: Conquest. Here, your team’s job is to capture and hold the majority of the map’s flags in order to get the opponent’s ticket count down to zero. This is all-out war at its finest, where you’ll find yourself in intense shootouts, epic dog fights, clever use of gadgets, and triumphant flag captures.Tip #2: Know Your Role
There are 4 classes to choose from in Battlefield 4 and though any class can unleash a hail of bullets, smart players utilize their class’s specialty to gain as much XP as possible. - Engineers bring down enemy vehicles and can also repair the rides of their own team. Keep that Repair Tool handy! When playing on a large map with vehicles, hitch a ride as a passenger and keep your vehicle in tip top shape – that racks up huge points. - Don’t let the class name fool you – playing Assault is just as much about reviving and healing your teammates as it is engaging in firefights with the opposition. Keep handing out health packs, let the defibs go warm, and you’ll rank up in no time. - Support players are the main suppliers of ammo in Battlefield 4. Ammo is the basic building blocks of an all-out firefight, so keep your teammate’s lead supplies healthy with the Ammo Box gadget and gain lots of XP. The Support players also have access to the devastating Light Machine Guns. - Recon are the sharpshooters of the Battlefield who excel at staying hidden and delivering headshots from great distances. The Recon also has tons of handy gadgets up their sleeve, like the fan-favorite C4 explosives and the Motion Sensor.Gold, Silver, and Bronze Battlepacks. Once unlocked, they’ll be waiting for you to open them up in Battlelog.
Tip #3: The Power of Battlepacks
Battlepacks can be unlocked either by purchasing them, by ranking up in Battlefield 4, going Premium - or just by taking part of events like Battlefest! Apart from soldier camos and other goodies, Battlepacks contain XP Boosts which will let you rank up faster. These boosts also stack with Double XP events, so use ‘em if you got ‘em.Team play in action. Battleshot entry by MoePsychoX.
Tip #4: Team Work Pays off
In addition to your primary team, you can also join a sub-team called a Squad that contains up to five players. Strive for a balanced squad with different classes represented. Assisting your squad mates earns you even more XP than you’d gain from helping out non-squad teammates. Every little bit counts!Tip #5: Play the Objective
You might have seen the abbreviation “PTFO” flying around the Battlefield community, and this is a key concept in the world of Battlefield. You should know that this (roughly) means “Play the Objective”. In other words, if the game mode is about capturing flags, you should either capture flags - or help your team do it! We can highly recommend Battlefield 4 Premium Edition, packed with the base game, all five Battlefield 4 expansions, 12 Battlepacks, and more.RELATED NEWS
