Sinai Desert Map: All You Need to Know
Climb the scorching dunes of the Sinai as all-out war descends on the desert.
What is Sinai Desert?
Sinai Desert is one of the first maps created for Battlefield™ 1. First seen at EA Play, the map is revered among fans for its dramatic scope, intense combat, and infamous sniper arch.
Where and when is the map set?
The map takes place in the eponymous Sinai Desert during the Sinai and Palestine campaign between 1915 and 1918. This campaign was not considered one of the major conflicts of the Great War, but it had far-reaching historical consequences for the Sinai region.
What armies are available?
The British Empire and the Ottoman Empire are available as the two fighting forces of the Sinai Desert map.
What game modes can I play on Sinai Desert?
Conquest, Domination, Rush, Team Deathmatch, War Pigeons, and Frontlines modes are all available to play in Sinai Desert. It is also available in Operations mode as the third map in Oil of Empires.
What makes Sinai Desert a challenging map to play?
Sinai Desert was included as part of the open beta for Battlefield 1, so players have had a long time to develop their strategies and discover every secret that the map holds. Much of the conflict lies along the railroad tracks that run through the map, where the Armored Train Behemoth can arrive to shift the battle momentum.
The map also features a high stone arch that’s a common sniper nest used for attacking the nearby outpost. But with a little firepower, the arch – and any snipers along it – can be put out of commission.
