Update 1.5 will soon be available for download in the App Store and Google Play. Here is a preview of what will be added to Command & Conquer: Rivals once this update goes live. This update will bring vanity items, reworked events system, XP and Credit boosts and new maps.
Table of Contents:
Rivals Champions and Rivals Champions Blitz events allow players to test their skills, climb the leaderboard, and earn rewards. While there are differences between these events, they felt similar when playing. We are giving events their own distinct personality:
We’re also introducing a premium reward track, that will let you collect even more resources from events. The premium track is purchased with Diamonds when you collect your prize.

Boosts are a new type of consumable resource we are adding in this update. Boosts apply bonus effects to the end of every battle for a limited number of battles. We are launching two types of boosts (XP and Credits), each with 3 levels of magnitude (Basic, Standard, and Advanced).

You can customize units and missile explosion to personalize your experience or use Commander emotes to react in real-time to the action on the battlefield.

We’ve updated the landing page Ranked PvP panel to be more dynamic. The panel will now show your selected GDI and Nod Commander.
Everyone has a different play style. Some play a few matches each day while others may play for long stretches at a time. We want to encourage all playstyles, while ensuring that those who only play a few matches can still earn Credits and XP to progress. We’re introducing a Daily Bonus, where players can earn the bulk of their XP and Credits in the first 10 daily matches.

Per your feedback, we are reducing the cooldown of Alliance Donation requests. With a shorter cooldown, you have more flexibility on when you request cards, while still being able to make three requests during the day. This will also reduce the amount of time that the donation request is live in the Alliance chat feed.
Donation Request cooldown is now 7 hours (previously 8 hours).
In recent weeks, we’ve seen more community questions about the status of the Command & Conquer: Rivals competitive gaming program, so we wanted to take a moment to address this.
Since worldwide launch, we’ve been focused on listening to the community and analyzing game data. We’re committed to improving and building on the core experience, such as new features, player quality-of-life improvements and new units to give players more loadout options. As a result, we shifted all available resources to focus on the in-game player experience and hit “pause” on our plans for a C&C: Rivals out-of-game tournament structure and league.
While the competitive focus for C&C: Rivals remains on in-game features and experiences for the foreseeable future, we still hope to revisit an out-of-game competitive program when we — and our community — are satisfied the game is in the best-possible place and it makes sense to turn our attention to these new experiences. Rivals has already come a long way since launch, and we hope you are feeling and enjoying the difference.
We have added one event map and two league maps.
