Meet the young stars shining bright enough to light the road ahead—a new era, led by a new generation of Future Stars who play the game their way and show who they are every time they take the pitch. Each Future Star upgrade represents the potential these u23 players have to rise from wonderkid to world-class as their career progresses. They’ve only just scratched the surface of their on-the-pitch potential, and we think they’re on the cusp of global greatness.

Future Stars Dual Potential - Players with two possible versions, each representing a different playing-style path a player could take in their career.

Alongside the squad of Future Star players be sure to check out Future Stars ICONs that celebrate the early years of football’s most legendary players. These special ICON versions will feature in packs and Squad Building Challenges.

FUTURE STARS ACADEMY - WONDERKID TO ICON

It isn’t Future Stars without the beloved Future Stars Academy! This group of players are on the precipice of being recognised as Future Stars and their rise will come to life via Evolutions.

The Future Stars Academy will begin with an exclusive one-time Player Pick grant, allowing you to pick 1 player from a possible 15 to enter into the Future Stars Academy! 

The journey is divided into three different Evolution stages, representing your player's growth from academy wonderkid to club legend! Once all stages are complete, your Future Stars Academy player will become a true Icon and receive the Icon chemistry upgrade to prove it.

In addition to the Future Stars Academy Evolution journey, you will also have the chance to build up a scout report for your Academy player by earning Evolution consumables in the 'Future Stars Academy: Scout Report' objectives group. 

These consumables will allow you to uniquely customize Playstyles and SM/WF ratings for your academy player. Flex your scouting skills and show what makes your Future Star stand out from the crowd!

Look out for the Scout Report objectives that will appear across both weeks of the campaign! Make sure to complete them all to truly maximize the potential of your Future Stars Academy player, transforming them from wonderkid to an Icon!

Each Scout Report objective will award users with a 1 of 5 pick of silver PlayStyles (as Evo consumables), one from each of the 5 outfield categories (SHO, PAS, DRI, DEF, PHY). Once all are completed, the group reward will be a 1 of 5 pick of a PlayStyle+ (as Evo consumables). All Evo consumable rewards can only be applied to your active Future Stars Academy Evo player, so be sure to complete all consumables before taking that final Evo step and becoming an Icon.

TWO ACTIVE EVOLUTIONS

Beginning with Future Stars, we have activated the ability for you to progress two Active Evolutions at the same time! Evolutions will play a big part in Future Stars, so this is the perfect time to enhance the Evolution experience.

The two Evolution slots will remain active for the rest of FC25!

SEASON 5: The Future Is Yours

Season 5 is all about the future—the rising stars aiming to take their clubs to new heights both domestically and on the continental stage. The next stop on the World Tour is Brazil so keep an eye out for samba stars in Ladder Rewards, Squad Foundations, & SBCs! 

With a new season, comes a new season ladder! Be sure to look out for UEFA Road to the Final players that will upgrade along with the performance of their clubs as the next round of the UEFA competitions unfold! Keep an eye out for future Road to the Final releases as teams progress through the competitions Check out the upgrade path details for RTTF items below: 

UCL, UEL & UECL Upgrade Path

• Win or Draw Round of 16 game after Campaign Launch - (+1 Upgrade)
• Qualify for Quarter Finals - (+1 Upgrade, 1 additional Role ++)
• Qualify for Semi Finals - +1 Upgrade, WF/SM Upgrade
• Qualify for the Finals - (+1 PS + (* +2 PS + if the Player Item has 1 PS+)
• Win the Finals - (+1 OVR or 96 rated, 5*SM/WF Upgrade)

UWCL Upgrade Path

• Win or Draw 1st Knockout game of Quarter Finals after Campaign Launch - (+1 Upgrade)
• Qualify for Semi Finals - (+1 Upgrade/ 1 additional Role ++)
• Win or Draw 1st Knockout game of Semi Finals - (+1 Upgrade/ WF/SM Upgrade
• Qualify for the Finals - (+1 PS + (*2 if a player only has 1 at the time)
• Win the Finals - (+1 OVR or 96 rated/ 5*SM/WF Upgrade
• Player Items will be a maximum of 96 OVR. 
• Player Items are not eligible for upgrades from match results prior to release of said item.
• RTTF player items are eligible for upgrades are available from March 4th, 2025

Season 5 Mode Rewards

For Season 5: The Future is Yours, rewards for Champions, Rivals & Squad Battles will be updated with guarantee packs including Future Stars, Grassroot Greats and FUT Fantasy items. **

There are also increased Champions Qualification Points now given while playing Division Rivals, helping you get to Champions Playoffs even faster.

Q. HOW MANY FUTURE STARS ACADEMY PLAYERS CAN I CHOOSE TO ENTER THROUGH THE EVOLUTIONS PATH?

Upon entering Ultimate Team, you will receive a one-time grant of a 1 of 15 Player Pick which allows you to choose one player to enter into the Future Stars Academy. Choose wisely!

Q. HOW DO I GET PLAYSTYLES, PLAYSTYLE+’S AND WEAK FOOT/SKILL MOVE UPGRADES FOR MY FUTURE STARS ACADEMY PLAYER?

Both regular Playstyles and Playstyle+’s will be obtainable via the Future Stars Academy Scout Report Objective groups. There will be two Objective groups, the first in week 1 of the Campaign, the second in week 2. Each group will award various Evo consumable picks, allowing you to uniquely customise your Future Star Academy Player.

Q. HOW DO I GET ROLES FOR MY FUTURE STARS ACADEMY PLAYER?

All Future Stars Academy players have been created with a selection of Role+ and Role++’s already available.

Q. DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE SCOUT REPORT OBJECTIVES AND THE FUTURE STARS ACADEMY EVOLUTIONS IN A SPECIFIC ORDER?

The Future Stars Academy ** Evolutions will be split into 3 separate stages, each representing an era in your player’s career. Each stage will be released separately and must be completed in order of their release.

The three Future Stars Evolutions will be categorized into three groups: Attackers, Midfielders, and Defenders.

-Aspiring Attacker

-Methodical Midfielder

-Dynamic Defender

Evos earned from the Scout Report objective group can be completed in any order, with one notable exception!

You must complete all Evo consumables to be eligible for the final upgrade step that upgrades your Future Stars Academy player to an Icon. If you do not complete the 8 Playstyles and 2 Playstyle+ Evo consumables your player will not be able to progress through the final Evolution.

Q. HOW MANY EVOS WILL I NEED TO COMPLETE TO IN ORDER TO GET MY FINAL FUTURE STARS ACADEMY PLAYER

In total, there are 16 Evos to complete:

• The main Evo path - split into 3 distinct stages
• 8 Base Playstyles
• 2 Playstyle+
• 4* Weak Foot Upgrade
• 4* Skill Moves Upgrade
• Either 5 Weak Foot OR 5 Skill Moves Upgrade

Q. CAN I SUBMIT MY FUTURE STARS ACADEMY INTO THE DEFENDER, MIDFIELDER & ATTACKER EVOLUTIONS?

We want you to choose how you develop your Future Stars Academy Player, with branching career paths. In each era you’ll need to decide if you want to focus on Defensive, Midfield or Attacking play on your path to greatness. We want career paths to be meaningful to each stage of your player’s development so you’ll need to choose a focus for each era of your player's career. 

Q. WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL RATING OF MY FUTURE STARS ACADEMY PLAYER?

If you complete all of the Future Stars Academy Scout Report objectives and all of the Future Stars Academy ** Evolutions, then your player will have:

• 91 OVR
• Icon Chemistry
• 8 Base Playstyles
• 2 Playstyle+
• 5 Weak Foot OR 5 Skill Moves
