EA SPORTS FC™ 27 | Title Update v1.1 Pitch Notes
October 26, 2026

Welcome to the EA SPORTS FC™ 27 Title Update v1.1 Pitch Notes. As we head toward the release of Title Update v1.1 on 27 October, we want to highlight how much we’ve loved seeing you take on new challenges in Career, complete Sets in FUT Gallery, build your legacy in Clubs, and explore the three districts across The Grounds.
As always, we’ve been monitoring your feedback and conversations across Discord, the Feedback Portal, EA Forums, Steam, and our various social media platforms as we continue to improve the overall experience.
In this edition of Pitch Notes, we’ll be walking you through the new changes and following up on certain topics from our Developer Notes for Gameplay, Career, FUT, and The Grounds.
We’ll also be highlighting some bug fixes that are included in this update. For the complete list, keep an eye out for the v1.1 Patch Notes, to be published on 27 October. You can also view our EA SPORTS FC Trello for additional items and ongoing status updates.

Team Management UI Improvements
As we mentioned in our Career Mode Developer Launch Update, we heard your feedback around the Team Management UI and were planning to make visual updates. To address this, we have overhauled the Team Management layout across multiple modes for cleaner navigation and better readability.

New Settings and Customisation
We know everyone’s journey through FC 27 Career Mode is a little different. To give you more control, we’ve introduced new settings that let you toggle or adjust the frequency of Unexpected Events and Press Conferences. These settings can be adjusted both during Career Creation and within existing Career Saves.

Player Career: New Rivalry Objectives
To add a little more spice to your personal Rivalries, we’ve introduced two new Objective types to Player Career.
- Consistency Rivalries: Avoid being the first to fail an Objective
- Match Limit Rivalries: Complete Objectives within a specific time limit
Manager Career: Transfer and Negotiation Improvements
We’ve made the following improvements to Transfers and Contract Negotiations:
- Added distinct negotiation responses to clarify exactly why a club or player rejected your offer
- Tuned Wages to account for performance bonuses, preventing players from demanding inflated base wages when bonuses are offered
- Tuned Contracts so veteran players no longer disproportionately demand crucial squad roles
General Career Changes
We’ve also made the following general changes:
- Improved background contrast for green, grey, and red stat values in the Player Profile for better legibility
- PlayStyles are now properly revealed for Youth Academy prospects discovered during Scouting Missions
- Corrected Scout capacity calculations
- The maximum number of simultaneously scouted players is now determined by Experience rather than Judgement
- Promoting a prospect from the Youth Squad Hub now retains your menu position instead of redirecting directly to the Squad Hub
We are also currently looking into an issue where players sometimes request transfers due to a lack of playtime, even when their playtime expectations are being met. Our team is currently testing a fix for this issue and we’ll aim to implement this in an upcoming update.
Football Ultimate Team™
Updated Pack Opening Duration
Based on community feedback from the FC 27 Closed Beta, we have shortened the reveal animation sequence for most higher OVR items.
Check out the comparison video below to see the updated timing.

Streamlined SBC Improvements
Filter and sorting settings in Streamlined SBCs are now remembered across Challenges throughout your play session and reset to default only when the game is closed. This means you won't have to keep reapplying your search filters every single time you jump to a different SBC.
FUT Bug Fixes
Alongside our updates to SBC filters and Pack openings, we have addressed a few visual and customisation issues in FUT matches.
- Updated Referee kit colours to prevent them from clashing with either team's kits, reducing visual confusion during matches.
- Fixed an issue where the match would default to using the opponent's custom pitch line colour if you did not have a pitch line colour selected.
- Fixed an issue where the match would default to using the opponent's custom goal net colour instead of your default settings.

Gameplay
In line with our approach to early gameplay updates, Title Update v1.1 contains no gameplay balance or tuning changes.
Later this week we will release another set of Gameplay Developer Notes, containing some observations from the first month of live play in FC 27 along with some discussion about potential adjustments that will follow in our next Title Update. The changes we’re working on are based on player data and your feedback, as well as testing done with player representatives on the Design Council, and we’ll look to answer your questions about those upcoming changes following the release of the Developer Notes.
Gameplay Bug Fixes
Here are some Gameplay bug fixes included in this update:
- Fixed an issue where players could become permanently stuck and unable to progress during the tutorial.
- Fixed an issue in 2v2 matches where players could get stuck inside the goal net after performing slide tackle attempts near the goal line.
- Fixed an issue in 1v1 matches where goalkeepers would hold onto the ball for too long after a player requested a pass.
- Fixed an issue in 3v3 Kickabouts where a long button press pass would occasionally result in players directing the ball into their own goal.
- Fixed an issue where post-play cutscenes would happen too frequently in situations where a standard replay should have been shown instead.

The Grounds
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Q&A sessions. We received hundreds of messages filled with valuable feedback, bug reports, and suggestions from the community.
While Title Update v1.1 focuses on immediate fixes, we have some really exciting features on the way for both The Grounds and Clubs in a nearby future update. We’ll be sharing more details on these upcoming features on @EASFCDIRECT and our official Discord as we get closer to their release.
Our team is committed to consistently improving and refining your experience based on your feedback and reports, so keep them coming and stay tuned.
Below is a list of bugs we are addressing in v1.1 across The Grounds and Clubs:
The Grounds Bug Fixes
We’ve made the following bug fixes for The Grounds:
- Fixed an issue where the Pro Camera would occasionally rotate incorrectly when the ball rolled past the byline.
- Resolved a visual bug where the end-of-match UI could overlap with on-screen text after a Kickabout match.
- Fixed an issue in the post-match flow where a player's match rating would not display if it was below 6.0.
- Adjusted the post-match "Player has left the activity" overlay to be less disruptive.
- Resolved various stability issues and crashes that could occur when entering the Store, loading into the world, or during gameplay.
- Prevented an issue where a team could occasionally have two goalkeepers active during Clubs Live Events.
- Fixed a bug where party members could get stuck with an incorrect HUD on their screen if the party leader left the matchmaking queue.
- Resolved an issue where players were unable to re-enter the Objectives tab after initially viewing it from the Live Events lobby.
- Corrected an issue where a player’s match rating would incorrectly display as 0 if their Archetype was at the maximum level.
- Fixed a bug where the Clubs tournament bracket would incorrectly display a team as the "winner" immediately after the semi-final match.
