1. OVERVIEW
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
The EA SPORTS™ FC Pro (Asia) 24 (“Competition”) are offered by Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA”), 209 Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City, CA 94065, USA. The competition is a series of video game competitions (each, an “Event”) conducted using EA SPORTS™ FC Online game (“FCO”). The Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Any third party that operates another video game competition incorporating FCO is the sponsor of such competition and will determine the applicable terms and conditions for participation.
This document (“Ecosystem Ruleset”) sets forth the main principles applicable to the participation of FCO esports teams (“FCO Esports Teams”) and their participating athletes (“Participating Athletes“) in the Competition.
The Competition employs a leaderboard-based system in which FCO Esports Teams will receive EA SPORTS FC Pro Ranking Points (“Ranking Points”) through their performance during the Competition.
The following is the current list of Events in this year’s Competition:
FC Pro Masters (“Masters”)
FC Pro Champions Cup (“Champions Cup”)
In addition to Masters and Champions Cup, The Competition also involves the gameplay that FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes in TWO (2) domestic-scaled competitions (each, “Domestic Qualifier”) run by Nexon/Garena/Tencent in their territory of publishing, serving as the source of the representing FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes from each territory.
Before participating in any Domestic Qualifier to enter the Competition and the Event, FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes shall sign or accept this Ecosystem Ruleset.
Before participating in any Major Event, FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes shall sign or accept, as the case may be, the specific terms and conditions drafted by EA, which govern the participation of such FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes to the Major Event (the “Event Ruleset”).
2. PARTICIPATING ATHLETES ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to participate to the Competition, each and all Participating Athletes to the Competition must:
Agree to EA’s Privacy and Cookie Policy located at http://www.ea.com/privacy-policy (“Privacy and Cookie Policy”) and User Agreement located at https://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC/(“User Agreement”);
Must not be in breach of any other rules or regulations governing any FC esports competition or event held under the auspices of EA (as determined by EA acting reasonably), including, without limitation, any temporary or permanent ban or sanction imposed by EA still in effect from any past esports competition;
Conform with the Code of Conduct as set forth in Appendix A of the Ecosystem Ruleset; Agree to Event Ruleset forming part of the Competition; and
Meet the age and residency requirements described in Sections 2.2 and 2.3;
2.1 ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICIAL RULES
This Ecosystem Ruleset may be updated by EA, as necessary, during the Competition to add further clarity, correct errors, comply with changes in applicable law, or address matters that arise after the first publication. The goal of any updates will be to ensure a fair Competition for all FCO Esports teams and Participating Athletes.
EA reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Competition, as determined by EA in their sole discretion.
EA reserve the right to disqualify any Participating Athlete they find to be tampering with the operation of the Competition or to be acting in violation of these Ecosystem Ruleset. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, EA reserve the right to seek damages and other remedies (including attorneys’ fees) from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
By participating in the Competition, Participating Athletes agree to be bound by these Ecosystem Ruleset and the decisions of EA, as applicable.
2.2 AGE REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to participate in the Competition, Participating Athletes must be at least 16 years old at the time of registration and be at least the minimum age required to have a full (not underage) Nexon/Garena/Tencent account in their territory of residence.
All Participating Athletes under the age of majority in their territory of residence must have a parent or legal guardian review and consent to the Ecosystem Ruleset on their behalf, and accompany them to any Events (as defined in Section 3.1).
2.3 RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
Participating Athletes might be asked to provide proof of residency in an eligible country to compete in the Competition. The sufficiency of any such proof or documentation will be determined by EA in their sole discretion. The list of eligible countries can be found in Appendix B: Eligible Countries.
Participating Athletes that participate in the Competition as organised by EA (as described in Section 3.3) may be required to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility to Travel.
2.4 EMPLOYEES AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Employees of Electronic Arts inc., Nexon Korea Corporation, Tencent Holding Ltd., Garena Online Private Limited or its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies, and the immediate family members or persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
2.5 REGISTRATION DATA AND LEADERBOARD
As part of the registration process, Participating Athletes will be asked to provide optional information, such as FCO Esports Team they represent and chosen country of representation within FCO. This information may be used in any leaderboard data created as part of the Competition.
2.6 REPRESENTING A FCO ESPORTS TEAM IN THE COMPETITION
Participating Athletes may represent only one (1) FCO Esports Team in the Competition. The composition of one FCO Esports Team is three or four Participating Athletes, who meet the Eligibility and Residency requirements outlined in Sections 2.2 and 2.3.
FCO Esports Team ownership is granted to the representatives of each FCO Esports Team, based on an FCO Esports Team Agreement Form (as attached in Appendix D) that requires the Participating Athletes’ signatures.
FCO Esports Team Owner (individual, group or organisation) represents the FCO Esports Team.
FCO Esports Team Owner may directly or indirectly own and operate a maximum of one.
FCO Esports Team within the Competition including all eligible countries.
Only such Team Owner indicated on the FCO Esports Team Agreement Form may request changes or make inquiries about the FCO Esports Team, its structure or its participation.
Changes in FCO Esports Teams’ ownership can take place 7 days prior to the 1st Domestic Qualifier, from which moment the changes cannot take place until Masters is completed.
Changes in FCO Esports Teams’ ownership can take place after Masters finishes until at least 7 days prior to the 2nd Domestic Qualifier, from which moment the changes cannot take place again until Champions Cup is completed.
The season will reset after Champions Cup is completed.
All the requests regarding ownership changes should be sent to EA within the said deadline by emailing easportsfcproasia@ea.com.
No more than one FCO Esports Team can operate under the same brand or have the same or similar name within the Competition.
A FCO Esports Team will be asked to select a distinctively different name Esports Team names and must not be deemed vulgar by EA and to identify itself for Competition. The name must be unique from other FCO affiliates.
An FCO Esports Team name must not include any brand name of Electronic Arts Inc., Nexon Korea Corporation, Tencent Holding LTD., Garena Online Private Limited.
The use of country affiliations within the name is subject to EA’s written approval.
An FCO Esports Team may request to change its official name, including the option to grant sponsors partial naming rights, as long as:
The request is being sent in writing to EA at least 7 days prior to the Domestic Qualifier. At EA’s reasonable determination the FCO Esports Teams may request to remove sponsors from their name at any point. This exception shall never be applied to add sponsors.
All the requests regarding name changes should be sent to EA within the said deadline by emailing easportsfcproasia@ea.com.
In any qualifier event, Participating Athletes may only represent the same FCO Esports Team that secured their qualification into the event.
The season will reset after Champions Cup is completed.
Participating Athletes are not allowed to compete in more than one Domestic Qualifier and/or FCO Esports Team, qualifying to Masters and Champions Cup.
2.7 REPRESENTING A FCO ESPORTS TEAM AT AN EVENT
At minimum 28 days before the start of the Masters and Champions Cup, the FCO Esports Teams that have qualified for such competition must provide the following information for inclusion on broadcast, in-game on the live event build and for the digital coverage:

FCO Esports Team shortened name of two to four alphanumeric symbols;
FCO Esports Team roster, including:

Participating Athlete’s in-game display name of four to eleven alphanumeric symbols
Participating Athlete’s travel and visa information
FCO Esports Team logo and live event build Art Assets (See Appendix F)

Sponsor’s logo
Placement of sponsor branding on FCO Esports Team uniform, if applicable

EA will inform qualified Participating Athletes of any applicable deadlines. It is the FCO Esports Team’s responsibility to submit this information in time for it to be incorporated into the broadcast, live event build, and web coverage of the event. Submissions after this deadline will not be incorporated into broadcast or web materials.
2.8 RANKING POINTS OWNERSHIP
Ranking Points for each FCO Esports Team will belong to the FCO Esports Team named in the Team Agreement Form upon the participation in their first Domestic Qualifier of the season.
2.9 ROSTER CONTINUITY AND CHANGES
For entry to the Masters, each FCO Esports Team must maintain the roster who secured qualification to the Masters in the 1st Domestic Qualifier.
Changes to rosters may take place at any time during the Competition, but to retain Ranking Points earned at any Event, the following provisions must be satisfied.
Changes to the roster take place from the end of Masters until 7 days before the start of the 2nd domestic qualifier.
FCO Esports Team must maintain 2 Participating Athletes that earned the first Ranking Points. e.g. if the FCO Esports Team A earned Ranking Points from 1st Domestic Qualifier, the FCO Esports Team can replace Participating Athletes after Masters, but 7 days before 2nd Domestic Qualifier.
FCO Esports Teams that earned FCO Ranking Points and intend to make changes to their roster must immediately communicate such changes, including all the names of the new and old roster, to EA for approval via email to easportsfcproasia@ea.com within the said deadline.
All the roster continuity rules will be reset after Champions Cup.
3. COMPETITION STRUCTURE
The Competition employs a leaderboard-based system in which FCO Esports Teams will receive EA SPORTS FC Pro Ranking Points (“Ranking Points”) through their performance during the Competition. The “sanctions catalogue” outlined in Appendix G might be enforced and shall form the basis within the FCO Series, especially at events operated by EA.
3.1 TYPES OF EVENTS
Domestic Plays: 1st Domestic Qualifier, 2nd Domestic Qualifier, as described in Section 3.2 (run by Nexon/Garena/Tencent)
Regional Plays: FC Pro Masters, as described in Section 3.3 (run by EA)
Regional Plays: FC Pro Champions Cup, as described in Section 3.4 (run by EA)
The “FC Pro Champions Cup” serves as the pinnacle event of the Competition and will not grant additional Ranking Points. Domestic Qualifiers and Masters are the qualifying events for the Champions Cup.
Ranking Points will be granted to the FCO Esports Teams according to the performance results in Domestic Qualifiers and Masters.
EA reserve the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, organise a replacement “online” version of any Competition stage or reschedule any event, and to modify the tournament structure if, in their reasonable judgment, such changes are necessary to maintain a fair and respectful environment for all FCO Esports Teams or as a result of circumstances and/or events outside of their reasonable control (including as a result of the pandemic outbreak), without any liability of EA in this respect. EA also reserve the right to make such changes if they deem they are necessary to comply with applicable law.
3.2 DOMESTIC QUALIFIER
There will be two Domestic Qualifiers in each eligible country (as defined in Appendix B: Eligible Countries) during this year’s Competition. The format for each Domestic Qualifier will be independently determined and applied by Nexon/Garena/Tencent.

The participation to Domestic Qualifiers is further governed by the Event Ruleset drafted by Nexon/Garena/Tencent which Participating Athletes willing to participate agree to abide and comply with.
3.3 FC PRO MASTERS
FC Pro Masters will be run by EA in collaboration with a third party, with a minimum of eight (8) FCO Esports Teams, based on the 1st Domestic Qualifiers. The event shall be held with following structure:
One double-elimination styled bracket, as per the following principles:
The allocation within the bracket will be based on a draw or a similar random allocation based on the seed of the FCO Esports Teams achieved during 1st Domestic Qualifier.
The best-seeded FCO Esports Teams (seed one) from each of the four 1st Domestic Qualifiers shall be placed directly in the first round of the winners bracket, while the seeds two already compete in the first round of the losers-bracket. The winners of the first round of the losers-bracket then face a seed one in the second round.
Each Matchup will be played in a Best-of-5 format, meaning that participating FCO Esports Teams must at least win three games of the maximum five games played. The Best-of-5 format shall have both of the FCO Esports Team nominate for each of the first three games individual athletes from their registered three or four athletes. The nomination for each game can be made one-by-one, meaning that only after the conclusion of the previous game the athletes for the next game need to be nominated by both teams. If participating FCO Esports Teams have a fourth athlete nominated for the competition, they can nominate such athlete to the fourth game. Otherwise, for the optionally required games four and five, the athletes from the games one, two and three can be re-used. A single athlete can only compete in two games of a single matchup between two teams.

3.4 FC PRO CHAMPIONS CUP
The FC Pro Champions Cup will be operated by EA in collaboration with a third party, with a minimum of sixteen (16) FCO Esports Teams, based on Ranking Points.
The event shall be held in accordance with the following structure:

The allocation within the bracket will be based on a draw or a similar random allocation based on the seed of the FCO Esports Teams achieved within Ranking Point leaderboard.

3.5 RANKING POINT TIEBREAKERS
If two or more FCO Esports Teams have an equivalent amount of accumulated Ranking Points throughout the Competition, placement for the Ranking Points leaderboard will be judged by following criteria, throughout Domestic Qualifiers and FC Pro Masters.

If FCO Esports Teams are still tied, an additional tie-breaker match (format is to be solely determined by EA) will be offline and hosted before FC Pro Champions Cup.
3.6 TRAVEL TO MASTERS AND CHAMPIONS CUP
EA may cover certain travel and accommodation costs incurred by FCO Esports Teams during their participation to the Masters and Champions Cup, as more particularly described in the Event Ruleset for each competition.
For FCO Esports Teams with travel expenses paid by EA, the selection of transportation carriers, hotels, and/or related transfers, will be at EA's sole discretion.
EA reserves the right to provide ground transportation instead of airfare based on Participating Athletes’ travel distance from the Masters and Champions Cup. If a Participating Athlete requests special travel or accommodation plans, such as different travel dates, different carriers, or departure/arrival cities other than the designated city for the tournament, and if the cost of the special travel request exceeds that of the standard tournament travel plans, EA may require the Participating Athlete to cover the difference in cost.
Receiving travel accommodations is contingent upon compliance with this Ecosystem Ruleset. In the Masters and/or Champions Cup, FCO Esports Team is disqualified, or travel is forfeited for any reason, EA may award that FCO Esports Team’s transportation, accommodations, current placement in the Event, and/or the prize associated with FCO Esports Team’s current placement to an alternate FCO Esports Team, who may assume that FCO Esports Team’s place in the Competition.
Incidentals for travel, including, without limitation: telephone calls, facsimile charges, Internet charges, spa/beauty salon services, laundry, tours/excursions, gift shop purchases, hotel processing fees, airline service charges and any other expenses not mentioned in this Ecosystem Ruleset are the sole responsibility of the FCO Esports Team or parent/guardian of the Participating Athletes, and the FCO Esports Team may be asked to account for any such incidental charges by providing the applicable hotel with a credit card. Hotel and airfare cannot be used separately.
Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and certain restrictions. Any extra nights’ stay and any additional costs associated with an extended stay are the sole responsibility of the FCO Esports Team or parent/guardian of the Participating Athletes. Valid passport and/or other travel documentation may be required, which is the responsibility of each Participating Athletes. Additional restrictions may apply.
3.7 PRIZES
3.7.1 IN-GAME CHAMPION KIT
To make the ecosystem more encouraging, EA are willing to help celebrate the winning moment and will grant the opportunity to the FCO Esports Teams that win the championship of

Champions Cup
to produce their own in-game uniform that includes a shirt, shorts, socks, and shoes (“Champion Kit”). If the FCO Esports Team already has a Champion Kit in the game, they will have to choose whether they want to make a new Champion Kit to replace the existing one, or give up the opportunity.
If the FCO Esports Team that wins 2nd Domestic Qualifier also wins Champions Cup, there will only be one Champion Kit opportunity provided.
EA may request the winner FCO Esports Team to submit the necessary info for making the Champion Kit which may include but is not limited to:
Champion Kit concept designs, colors, and images.
A signed license agreement (see Appendix F for a template).
It’s the FCO Esports Team’s responsibility to submit the necessary info in a timely manner.
3.7.2 CASH PRIZES
Cash prizes amount will be detailed in Appendix I.
3.7.3 PRIZES TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of prizes for other goods and services is permitted, except that EA reserves the right to provide a substitute of approximately equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable or not allowed by local law. All federal, state, provincial and local taxes, and international tariffs are the sole responsibility of the individual winner.
Potential winners will be required to complete, sign, and return a Prize Winner Declaration and Release within ninety (90) days of completion of the applicable Event to claim a prize. If a potential winner fails to sign and/or return the Prize Winner Declaration and Release, refuses the prize, or is ineligible to accept the prize, the potential winner forfeits the prize. Failure to communicate banking information or delivery method to the prize distribution vendor in a timely manner may result in forfeiture of the prize. If a potential winner is a minor in their territory of residence, the potential winner’s parent or legal guardian (as required by law) will be required to sign all necessary documents upon verification of identification. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with the Ecosystem Ruleset.
In the event a potential winner is disqualified, or the prize is forfeited for any reason, EA retains the discretion to donate the applicable prize to a charity of EA’s choosing. Potential winners may be required to provide a valid shipping address to claim a prize. Allow up to three (3) months for delivery of prizes.
In the event EA cancels or suspends the Competition pursuant to Section 3.1 above, prizes will be awarded for all Events prior to such cancellation or suspension.
4. ENFORCEMENT
Malicious behaviour, cheating and violations to the Ecosystem Ruleset and the Event Ruleset by any FCO Esports Team or any Participating Athletes during Competition may, at EA’s discretion result in the disqualification of such FCO Esports Team or Participating Athletes or in one or more sanction(s) against such FCO Esports Team and/or any Participating Athletes as determined by EA in each Event Ruleset.
At the discretion of EA or its designees, for any reason, including for any failure to comply with the User Agreement, Privacy and Cookie Policy, and the Ecosystem Ruleset, including the Code of Conduct at Appendix A, which may include but is not limited to: using any cheats, hacks or other third-party “helper” applications;
intentionally disconnecting from the Internet during an Event;
colluding with other FCO Esports Teams and/or Participating Athletes.
taking advantage of known exploits in the Game (it is the responsibility of FCO Esports Teams to understand and avoid all current illegal exploits); or abusive or disorderly behavior, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language online.
EA, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to restart any match at any time and/or disqualify any FCO Esports Team at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to tampering with the entry process or the operation of the FCO Esports Team or any Participating Athletes, or acting in violation of this Ecosystem Ruleset or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and reserves the right to void all associated entries. EA’s failure to enforce any term of this Ecosystem Ruleset shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
5. GENERAL TERMS AND RELEASE
By participating in this Competition, each Participating Athlete further agrees that to the extent permissible by law, to assume sole liability for Participating Athlete’s injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in any part of the Competition, or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
6. PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the Competition, Participating Athletes consent to EA’s processing of personal information which will be used for the purposes of the organisation of the Competition, for the duration of this competition, as more particularly described in each Event Ruleset.
7. COMMERCIAL RIGHTS
Any and all commercial rights (including without limitation any and all marketing, advertising and media rights) relating to the Competition belong solely and exclusively to EA;
No FCO Esports Team or Participating Athlete is entitled to directly or indirectly exploit or, in any manner, use any media rights, marketing rights, intellectual property rights of EA except as otherwise provided in each Event Ruleset; and
The recording and dissemination of images or footage of Competition for commercial purposes by or on behalf of Participating Athlete is strictly prohibited, except when explicitly authorized by EA.
APPENDIX A: CODE OF CONDUCT
The below Code of Conduct applies to all Participating Athletes in the Competition at all levels of the Competition, unless otherwise specified. EA reserve the right to apply penalties or disqualify any Participating Athlete in violation of this Code of Conduct, in their sole discretion.
As a Participating Athlete recognized by Competition, Participating Athletes may be held to a higher standard than other Athletes and may face higher levels of penalties than they would otherwise.
A1. Dress Code
Participating Athletes and FCO Esports Team shall wear uniform attire appropriate to the circumstances.
This includes the award ceremony following the final round, at which the winner might be required to wear formal attire.
All attire items that will potentially be worn during the Competition by the Participating
Athletes have to be submitted to EA at least two weeks before each Event. Only items that were pre-approved in writing can be worn during the competition.
Participating Athletes and FCO Esports Team shall wear the official uniform of their entity throughout the event, when applicable.
Participating Athletes are not allowed to wear attire/accessories that disturb the broadcast.
If any Participating Athlete’s attire/accessories is deemed inappropriate, the Participating Athlete could be asked by EA to change such attire/accessories to be able to continue the tournament.
Each FCO Esports Team’s entourage, which includes the coach and media members of the FCO Esports Team, shall only be permitted to wear either unbranded, non-commercial attire, or the same attire as the Participating Athletes of that FCO Esports Team, which shall at all times be in accordance with these regulations and the Event Ruleset.
Participating Athletes shall not wear, carry or bear any items of a commercial, religious or political nature, or which in EA’s opinion reflect unfavourably upon the Competition, EA, any EA product or any other EA partner nor carry out any promotional activity in connection with the event unless otherwise approved in writing by EA.
Failure of Participating Athletes and FCO Esports Team to comply with this section may lead EA to disqualify Participating Athletes and FCO Esports Team to apply the sanctions as set forth in the Event Ruleset.
Each Participating Athlete shall participate while wearing properly fitted equipment, which shall be professionally manufactured. The jersey must be unique from other Participating Athletes’ jersey and must not include any design deemed vulgar by EA and their affiliates.
A2. General Behaviour FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes are some of the best and highest profile teams and players in the world and are therefore ambassadors of the Competition and as held to a high standard by EA, the public, and the media. FCO Esports Teams must conduct themselves in accordance with commonly accepted standards of decency, social conventions and morals, and to not commit any act or become involved in any situation or make any statement which brings disrepute, contempt, scandal, ridicule, or disdain to the Competitor, EA, the Competition, or to its FCO Esports Teams and sponsors.
These requirements apply to live, offline, and online interactions, in and out of the Competition, including with respect to social media conduct and activity on live streams, past conduct and during Events. All FCO Esports Teams are expected to adhere to these standards of sportsmanship and the EA Rules of Conduct, available at https://terms.ea.com, at all times, including when not participating in EA sanctioned events.
FCO Esports Teams must maintain an appropriate level of respect, in EA’s sole judgment, towards other FCO Esports Teams, referees, officials, event staff, and tournament administrators (collectively, “Event Officials”). Threatening or inappropriate behavior towards Event Officials and/or other FCO Esports Teams will not be tolerated. FCO Esports Teams must follow the instructions of EA or Event Officials at all times.
Prohibited conduct includes, but it not limited to:
Violating any law, rule or regulation, as determined by EA in its sole discretion; Using any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts an EA service or another's computer or property;
Using any external software designed to give the Competitor an unfair advantage; Interfering with or disrupting other Competitior’s participation in the Competition; Harassing, threatening, bullying, engaging in hate speech, repeatedly sending unwanted messages, including making personal attacks or statements about race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc.;
Using vulgar or offensive language;
Physical abuse, fighting, or any other threatening action directed at any Competitor, spectator Event Official, or any other person;
Damage and/or abuse to game devices, hardware, and peripherals, tournament equipment, or the facility/venue/lodging;
Publishing, posting, uploading, or distributing content, or organizing/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA reasonably determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit and/or exploitive, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar or otherwise inconsistent with the goodwill of EA and its partners, offensive, indecent or unlawful;
Interfering with or interrupting the broadcast or broadcast production; Interfering with gameplay, including purposefully breaking a game station, interrupting the power supply, leaving a station before the conclusion of a match, refusing to play, and abuse of in-game pausing;
Failure to cooperate with safety and security requirements, such as metal detectors, bag searches and COVID testing;
Failure to follow instructions given by Event Officials and security personnel;
Logging into the provided game devices with a personal account or playing any game other than the copy of the Game provided for use in the tournament; Failing to be available for any post-tournament awards ceremonies, interviews, and the entirety of a Live Event, as well as any promotional activities reasonably requested by EA or other sponsor;
FCO Esports Teams watching video streams and/or listening to live coverage of their own match while the match is still in progress;
Carrying out any third-party promotional activity in connection with the Competition unless approved in advance in writing by EA. Using exploits, cheats, undocumented features, design errors or bugs in the Competition;
Selling, buying, trading or otherwise transferring or offering to transfer an EA Account or any EA content associated with an EA Account, including EA virtual currency and other entitlements, either within an EA service or on a third party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA;
Playing on behalf of another Competitor, or allowing someone else to play on Competitor’s behalf, in any competitive game mode;
Gambling, including betting on the outcome of Competition matches;
Disclosing confidential information provided by EA or any of its affiliates;
Communicating with anyone other than Event Officials in any way during an Competition match until the Competitor is eliminated;
Accepting or giving gifts, bribes, rewards or compensation for services that are rendered in connection with competing in the Competition (with an exception for FCO Esports Teams with sponsors who pay them based on their performance);
Causing or contributing to scandal, reputational harm or risk to the integrity and reputation of the Competition or EA;
Engaging in any other activity that significantly disturbs a peaceful, fair and respectful gaming environment of the Competition;
Failure to attend an Event at the applicable date(s) and time(s) posted on the Tournament Site or otherwise communicated to FCO Esports Teams by tournament sponsor or staff;
Promoting, encouraging or taking part in any prohibited activity described above; and Repeated behaviour that goes against the spirit of the Competition.
A3. Collusion and Match-Fixing Policy
Any action or agreement to disadvantage other FCO Esports Teams to predetermine the outcome of a match, to try to lose a match, to affect the fairness of the Competition, or to limit efforts to win a match is strictly prohibited.
Any FCO Esports Teams determined by EA to be violating this rule at any phase in the Competition may be removed from the Competition. Such FCO Esports Teams may be forced to forfeit or return any compensation and/or prizes and may have their EA and/or Game accounts suspended.
Examples of collusion include, but are not limited to:
Intentionally losing a match for any reason at any portion of an Event;
Playing on behalf of another Competitor, including using a secondary account, to aid them during any portion of an Event;
Any form of match-fixing or communication with other FCO Esports Teams or Coaches related to match play or strategy;
“Soft play”, defined as a Competitor not giving their best effort or not taking reasonable and fair actions to gain advantages against their opponent(s) in a match; Agreeing to split prize money; and
Allowing an opponent to score more or fewer goals than they normally would to impact the rankings.
A4. Drug & Alcohol Policy
FCO Esports Teams may not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating in the Competition. Competitor use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited on any Live Event premises.
Smoking, including the use of e-Cigarettes and vaporizers, is prohibited during any Live Event except in designated areas. Some Live Event venues may ban smoking entirely.
A5. FCO Esports Team Sponsorship
FCO Esports Team in the Competition may acquire and work with promotional sponsors. Promotional sponsorship is limited, however, to exclude certain categories and industries. If the promotional sponsor falls under one of the below categories, the Competitor may not display or promote the sponsorship in conjunction with EA, its partners, or the Competition that offer or are associated with:
Gambling, wagering, or lottery products or services including but not limited to sports betting, fantasy sites gambling or similar websites or services;
Alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, restricted drugs and/or similar products or paraphernalia;
Firearms or any type of weapons;
Pornographic or any sexually explicit or adult material;
High fat, salt, or sugar foods and drinks;
Energy drinks, powders or similar products;
Dietary supplements;
Medical devices, services, or treatments;
Political ads or otherwise promoting a political agenda;
Cryptocurrency companies and/or websites promoting/relating to the trade of cryptocurrency;
Illegal products or services, or content that otherwise violates any applicable laws in the territories where the Game is available;
Products or services from direct competitors of EA, its partners, and its other subsidiary brands;
Direct competitors of Competition official marketing partners;
Anything that is detrimental to EA’s business (e.g., hacking, gold services, account/coin selling, etc.)
Anything that is inconsistent with the ESRB, PEGI, OFLC, USK or applicable rating(s) of the Game in a given territory.
The list is illustrative and non-exhaustive. EA reserves the right to add or remove any product or service from the list at any time without notice. Promotional sponsors are subject to EA review and any exceptions to the above will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Domestic Qualifiers may have additional restrictions to ensure there are no conflicts with Domestic Qualifier sponsors.

Participating Athlete - a real-world, professional EA SPORTS FC ONLINE player, registered by FCO ESPORTS TEAM AGREEMENT FORM to participate in Competition under one registered FCO Esports Team
FCO Esports Team - a group of a real-world, professional group of Athletes, consist of three or four Participating Athletes
In-game Team - in-game EA SPORTS FC ONLINE roster of virtual in-game players, used in Event play by each individual Participating Athletes on a FCO Esports Team Game - a single instance of two Participating Athletes facing off on the platform of FC ONLINE, with victory determined by the number of in-game goals scored by each Participating Athlete
Matchup - a single instance of two participating FCO Esports Teams facing off off on the platform of FC ONLINE, with victory determined by the number of games won in the course of the matchup (e.g. 3 games won in a Best-of-5-game matchup)
Double-elimination Tournament - A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost two matches. Once the FCO Esports Team loses the matchup, the losing FCO Esports Team will proceed into the losers bracket and the winning FCO Esports Team proceed into the winners bracket. Loser bracket champion do not need to defeat the winner bracket champion twice in the grand final to win the tournament.
APPENDIX D: FCO ESPORTS TEAM AGREEMENT FORM
Ranking Points each FCO Esports Team will belong to the FCO Esports Team named by the Participating Athletes in this form and will be officially awarded upon submission of this form by emailing easportsfcproasia@ea.com. The form is to be filled by the full FCO Esports Team (three or four Participating Athletes) and representative (e.g. manager or owner) of the FCO Esports Team based on the status throughout the FC Pro.

APPENDIX G: SANCTIONS
Violation of these Ecosystem Ruleset s or Event Ruleset may, at EA's discretion, result in penalties, disqualification, change in match results, loss of winner status, and/or forfeiture of prizes. All decisions and rulings of EA or Event Officials relating to the Competition are final and binding. EA reserves the right to penalize any Competitor in the Competition at any level, at any time, for any reason. Penalties may include, but are not limited to, any or all of the following:
Warning
Reprimand
Forfeiture of Game
Forfeiture of Matchup
Reduction in match score
Loss of awards (including prize money and paid travel expenses)
Temporary or permanent suspension from the Competition
Disqualification from the Competition, Competition Events and future competitions or Events;
Loss of Rankings Points.
A deduction of points scored during a group stage.
Automatic game loss
Loss of future prize money
Disqualification of Domestic Qualifier
EA also has the right to publicly announce penalties that have been levied on FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes, and FCO Esports Teams and Participating Athletes waive any right of legal action against EA, and/or any of its affiliates.
APPENDIX F: CHAMPION KIT LICENSE AGREEMENT EXAMPLE
The following, when fully executed, shall constitute the understanding and agreement effective as of the first date written above (the “Effective Date”) between FCO Esports Team (“Licensor”) and Electronic Arts Inc. ("EA") (this "Agreement").
EA develops and publishes entertainment software products. EA desires to obtain the right to include the Licensed Materials (as defined below) in in any versions and formats of EA’s interactive entertainment software products related to the sport of soccer (and all DLC, expansion packs, updates, ports, sequels and derivative works thereto) on any and all platforms now known or hereafter developed by or for EA during the term of this Agreement (collectively, the “Products”). For purposes of this Agreement, “Licensed Materials” means any names, logos, trademarks, trade dress, service marks, brands, copyrights, emblems, designs, artwork, photos, likeness, and/or renderings provided directly by Licensor or through third parties to EA in connection with this Agreement, including those materials described on Exhibit A attached hereto.
In consideration of the promotional exposure to be provided to Licensor by the incorporation of the Licensed Materials into the Products, the receipt and sufficiency of which Licensor hereby acknowledges, Licensor agrees to make the Licensed Materials available to EA (including without limitation electronic representations, or another mutually acceptable format, of the Licensed Materials which are necessary for EA to authentically recreate the Licensed Materials in the Products, as reasonably requested by EA), and hereby consents to EA’s use of the Licensed Materials in connection with the Products, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Licensor grants EA and EA’s affiliates the worldwide, non-exclusive, fully-paid, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable (but only as necessary to operationalize this Agreement) right, but not the obligation, to, solely during the Term (subject to Section 13) (i) use, incorporate and integrate the Licensed Materials (a) within the Products, and (b) in all marketing and advertising materials related to the Products in any media but with respect to this subsection ( c ) (the “Related Materials”), including without limitation featuring or highlighting the Licensed Materials in any of the foregoing, (ii) reproduce, crop, modify, adapt, edit, overlay and otherwise alter the Licensed Materials for the purposes of incorporating and integrating the same within the Products and any Related Materials, subject to compliance with Licensor’s reasonable Brand Guidelines as attached hereto in Annex I, and (iii) develop, manufacture, publish, market, reproduce, sell, license, display and perform (publicly or otherwise), broadcast, narrowcast, emulate, transmit, port, distribute and otherwise exploit in any manner the Licensed Materials in or in connection with the Products and any Related Materials as necessary to operationalize the rights granted herein.
2. Licensor represents and warrants that (i) Licensor is duly organized or formed and validly existing in good standing under the laws of the state of its incorporation or formation, (ii) Licensor is the sole owner of the Licensed Materials and/or has all necessary rights to license the Licensed Material to EA, (iii) Licensor has the full right to enter into this Agreement and grant EA the rights granted herein without violating the rights of any third party and without any payments required of EA to any third party, and (iv) the Licensed Materials, and EA’s use thereof in accordance with this Agreement, will not (1) infringe upon any intellectual property or personal rights (including, without limitation, rights of privacy and publicity) of any third party, or (2) violate any applicable laws, rules or regulations. EA represents and warrants that (i) EA is duly organized or formed and validly existing in good standing under the laws of the state of its incorporation or formation, (ii) EA owns or controls the Products and Related Materials and/or has all necessary rights to use the Products and Related Materials as contemplated herein, (iii) EA has the full right to enter into this Agreement and (iv) it will comply all applicable ordinances, codes, standards, laws, rules, regulations, and orders of any governmental authority having jurisdiction in its performance under this Agreement.
3. Licensor further represents and warrants that if it includes (or wishes to include in the future) any third-party materials in the Licensed Materials, it shall (a) acquire signatures on, and return to EA, a “Third Party Rights Release” agreement (in the form attached to this Agreement as Exhibit B) from each rights holder of any third party content included in the Licensed Materials (including, without limitations, content belonging to team sponsors, clothing manufacturers, and sports franchises), (b) furnish to EA copies of the Third Party Rights Release agreements establishing Licensor’s rights as set forth above in this section and (c) if requested by EA, affidavits and other appropriate documentation of product endorsement that may be required, in EA’s reasonable judgment, to comply with any applicable governmental or other regulations, broadcast clearance procedures, or industry guidelines.
4. The Licensed Materials shall remain Licensor’s sole and exclusive property. EA shall have sole and exclusive title to all components of the Products, including all patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and other proprietary rights therein, excluding the Licensed Materials.
5. Licensor shall indemnify and hold EA and its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives, harmless from and against any and all loss, costs, claims, damages, liability, demands or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of any third-party claim related to any alleged breach by Licensor of any of its covenants, agreements, representations and warranties provided herein. EA shall indemnify and hold Licensor and its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives, harmless from and against any and all loss, costs, claims, damages, liability, demands or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of any third-party claim related to (i) any alleged breach by EA of any of its covenants, agreements, representations and warranties provided herein, or (ii) the EA Products or Related Materials (except the Licensed Materials therein) infringing the intellectual property rights of any third-party.
6. EA shall indemnify and hold Licensor harmless from and against any and all loss, costs, claims, damages, liability, demands or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of any third-party claim related to any breach or alleged material breach by EA of any of its covenants, agreements, representations and warranties provided herein.
7. In addition to Licensor’s obligation to indemnify, Licensor agrees to maintain, at all times during performance of this Agreement, the following minimum insurance coverage and limits and any additional insurance and/or bonds required by law: (a) Commercial General Liability insurance with minimum limits of: $2,000,000 General Aggregate limit; $1,000,000 each occurrence for Personal Injury and Advertising Injury; $1,000,000 Products/Completed Operations Aggregate limit, with a $1,000,000 each occurrence for Products/Completed Operations; and (b) Media insurance with minimum limits of $2,000,000. EA and its affiliated companies will be named as an additional insured on the Commercial General Liability and Media policies. EA requires that companies affording insurance coverage have an A- VIII or better rating, as rated in the A.M. Best Key Rating Guide for Property and Casualty Insurance Companies. A certificate of insurance stating the types of insurance and policy limits provided by Licensor must be received prior to commencement of any work. If a certificate is not received, Licensor hereby authorizes EA, and EA has the right, but not the duty, to obtain such specified insurance on behalf of Licensor at EA’s sole cost.
8. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SECTIONS 5 AND 6 ABOVE, AND EXCEPT WITH RESPECT TO A BREACH OF THE OBLIGATIONS SET FORTH IN SECTION 10 BELOW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER PARTY FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR THE LOSS OF ANTICIPATED PROFITS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT BY SUCH PARTY, EVEN IF SUCH PARTY IS NOTIFIED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ANY REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
9. Licensor’s rights and remedies in the event of a breach or an alleged breach of this Agreement by EA shall be limited to Licensor’s rights, if any, to recover damages in an action at law. In no event shall Licensor be entitled by reason of any breach or alleged breach to enjoin, restrain, or seek to enjoin or restrain the distribution or other exploitation of the Products and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Licensor hereby waives any and all such rights.
10. Each party will not disclose or use any confidential or proprietary information that it obtains from or about the other party or its products, including, without limitation, product ship dates, product names, marketing plans, product development plans, and any other information marked as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential given the circumstances of disclosure. Except as required by law or regulation, to its representatives or in connection with any type of financing (provided that each party shall be liable for the acts or omissions of such third party as if such acts or omissions were such party’s own with respect to this section), neither party will announce or otherwise disclose any of the terms of this Agreement nor make any promotional use of the other party’s names, logos, trademarks, trade dress, service marks, brands, copyrights, emblems, artwork, photos, likeness, and/or renderings, outside of the rights granted in this Agreement, without the express prior written consent of the other party. The obligations set forth in this paragraph shall survive for two (2) years following the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
11. Should any provision of this Agreement be held to be void, invalid or inoperative, such provision will be enforced to the extent permissible and the remaining provisions of this Agreement will not be affected.
12. This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of the State of California and the copyright laws of the United States. Any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be settled by confidential binding arbitration in accordance with to the rules and procedures of JAMS Streamlined by one (1) arbitrator experienced in entertainment transactions with the prevailing party entitled to receive reasonable attorney’s fees and costs as determined by the arbitrator. Notwithstanding the foregoing, each of Licensor and EA acknowledges and agrees that a violation of any of the terms of this Agreement may cause the other party irreparable injury for which adequate remedy at law is not available. Accordingly, it is agreed that the either party shall be entitled to an injunction, restraining order or other equitable relief to prevent breaches of the provisions of this Agreement and to enforce specifically the terms and provisions hereof in any court of competent jurisdiction in the United States or any state thereof, in addition to any other remedy to which it may be entitled at law or equity.
13. This Agreement will commence as of the Effective Date and remain in full force and effect for five (5) years following the Effective Date or until terminated in accordance with the terms set forth herein. Either party may terminate this Agreement for a material breach by the other party that remains uncured for thirty (30) calendar days following written notice of such breach. In the event of any termination of this Agreement, the terms of Sections 1(iii) (to the extent set forth below), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (to the extent set forth in that section), 11, 12, and 13 shall survive. Upon any termination of this Agreement, the rights granted to EA pursuant to Section 1(iii) hereof will perpetually survive any such termination hereof and EA and its licensees will continue to have the right in perpetuity to develop, manufacture, publish, market, reproduce, sell, license, display and perform (publicly or otherwise), broadcast, narrowcast, emulate, transmit, port, distribute and otherwise exploit in any manner the Products and any and all versions and iterations thereof, including all Related Materials associated therewith, with any and all Licensed Materials incorporated therein in accordance with the terms of this Agreement as of the effective date of such expiration or termination
14. This Agreement contains our entire understanding relating to the subject matter. Any modifications of this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties hereto. This Agreement may be executed in one or more counterparts, by either original signature or signature transmitted by facsimile transmission, electronic mail or any similar electronic signature technology or methods, and each copy so executed shall be deemed to be an original and all copies so executed shall constitute one and the same agreement. There are no third-party beneficiaries to this Agreement.
