Day 1 of CONMEBOL eLibertadores is in the books and what a day of action it was. We now know which players will be competing for the trophy on Championship Sunday and FC Pro fans are in for an incredible show.

If you missed everything that happened on the first day, then don't worry because we've got a full recap of who made it to the playoffs and who got sent home from the tournament early.

Group A

NathanSR22 and Gueric10 had a successful Day 1, as both players were able to score two wins within their bracket.

NathanSR22 had the easier of the two games, defeating Gueric10 and Rampazzo20 in decisive back-to-back victories. However, Gueric10's run to the playoffs was a slightly more chaotic journey.

After failing to beat NathanSR22 in his opening game, he defeated Zezinho 5-2 in the lower bracket semi-final. He then had it all to do against Rampazzo20, but managed to earn a huge comeback victory for the ages and secure his spot in the playoffs.

Group B

Resende was the talk of Group B after he had a flawless performance in both of his games en route to the playoffs.

Everything went the way of the Brazilian, as he scored seven goals and conceded zero. With Young falling out of the tournament, Resende now becomes the overwhelming favourite to go all the way and lift the trophy this year.

Giuliano20013 also made it out of Group B, but struggled to do so, as the Argentinian was just about able to get past GabrielPN and Gercrack30 to lock in his playoff place.

Group C

Group C provided the biggest upset of the night as Young crashed out of the group in dramatic fashion. Despite an impressive victory in his opening game, the Brazilian couldn't find his rhythm in the next two games.

With a huge favourite out of the competition already, Fonseca and Dudu27 were the two FC Pro Players who will compete in the playoffs. It'll be very interesting to see if the wins Fonseca and Dudu27 had over Young will give them any extra momentum heading into tomorrow's matchups.

Group D

There was plenty of drama in Group D, as GuiBarros and Sebaluoni also gained entry into the playoffs.

GuiBarros had a come-from-behind win over Baldo in the upper bracket final, defeating the Tuzzy eSports player 8-5 after being 5-2 down at one point in the match.

Sebaluoni had to defeat FacuCowen and Baldo to stake his claim for a spot.
