eChampions League 2024 Preview

The eChampions League is back and it’s bringing Europe’s finest FC players to London, England for the ultimate showdown.

18 FC Pro Leagues have concluded with each of them sending their best players to battle for one of the biggest prizes in the sport. Not only will the winners lift the prestigious eChampions League trophy, but they’ll also take home their share of a massive $281,000 prize pool.

With incredible FC players like PHzin, Tekkz and HHezers all competing for the big prize in this highly anticipated competition, fans won’t want to miss a single moment of the action.

To ensure that you’re ready when the games begin, here’s everything you need to know about eChampions League 2024.

How the eChampions League works

The eChampions League will take place over three stages, ‘Group stage’, ‘Knockout stage’ and ‘Finals’, with the number of competing participants decreasing at each stage as they’re knocked out of the competition.

Group stage (11-12 May - 4:00 PM BST)

In the Group stage, the qualified players will be split into eight groups. They’ll face off in a round-robin format over two days. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Knockout stage.

Knockout stage (18-19 May - 6:00 PM BST)

The Knockout stage will see the field reduced from 24 players to just eight as they compete in a single elimination format.

The second and third seed will go head-to-head in the Knockout stage playoffs, then will compete against a top seeded team in the round of 16. Winners from those games will then compete in the eChampions League Finals

Finals (29 May - 4:00 PM BST)

The final eight finalists will compete in front of a live audience at the Magazine London in a single elimination competition, where eight players will be whittled down to one as a new eChampions League champion will be crowned.
