ePremier League Finals: 3 Things We Learned

EA SPORTS FC fans were treated to an incredible ePremier League Final that they won’t forget anytime soon. 40 EA SPORTS FC Players travelled to Elstree Studios in London to compete for a chance to win a share of the £100,000 prize pool and secure their spot in the eChampions League and FC Pro World Championship.

With so much on the line, this weekend’s competition was primed to be a blockbuster event and it certainly lived up to expectations. We’ve picked out three things that stood out to us from the ePremier League Finals that you should keep an eye on.

Undeniable Manchester City

ePremier League Tekkz and Bonanno celebration

With so much pressure on Manchester City’s Tekkz and Bonanno to win the ePremier League this season, many would excuse them for showing any nerves on Championship Sunday.

That clearly wasn’t the case as the two looked like they were in control throughout the entire tournament. The only time their composure seemed to crack was during the closely contested second-leg game between Bonanno and Marc Marley, but the Argentinian was able to push through and secure the win for his team.

15 goals scored, one goal conceded, and an undefeated record during Sunday’s ePremier League Finals showed how dangerous they are as a team and will ensure that they’re one of the favourites to win the eChampions League.

Aerial Playstyle+ is clutch

Every FC Pro competition has recurring trends throughout, with players latching onto specific tactics they believe will help them gain an advantage. For those competing in the ePremier League Finals, their focus was on utilising the Aerial Playstyle+ to help them score from crosses or corners.

We regularly saw various FC Pro players lock onto TOTY Erling Haaland whenever the ball was being crossed into the opponent’s box. His physical and technical attributes make him the perfect target to attack the ball and it worked sensationally for those who were able to execute it.

Brighton & Hove Albion impress

BHA ePremier League

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Jay Groden and Marc Marley will be disappointed that they were unable to win this year’s ePremier League trophy, but they’ll find solace in their performances leading up to the final.

They were the only team to give Manchester City any worries during the competition, having made Tekkz and Bonanno sweat throughout their matchup. Luckily for them, impressive wins over Wolves and Liverpool leading up to the finals will ensure that FC Pro fans will be keeping an eye out for them when they compete in the eChampions League in May.
