The third round of action in the FC Pro Open kicks off in London on Monday, December 11, as Group C begin their journey in Match Week Three. 

PHzin was the standout star last time around in Match Week 2, and this week we will get to see the first glimpse of 2023 eWorld Cup champion ManuBachoore in action. 

He forms part of a highly-competitive group that also includes Vejrgang, AbuMakkah, AntoniniGabriel, and Seanldw – a line-up of competitors that make for some closely contested games across the evening.

Games start from 18.10 GMT, and here are the players and matches to look out for in Match Week 3. 

Players to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week 3

ManuBachoore - There will be plenty of anticipation around eWorld Cup winner ManuBachoore as he returns to action for his first LAN event of FC24. 

The 18-year-old has been in excellent form across 2023 – a year in which he has picked up a run of memorable results. As well as taking home the $300,000 prize from winning the eWorld Cup, he was also part of the Netherlands squad that shared $150,000 for finishing as runners up in the eNations Cup. 

Representing Team Gullit esports and PSV Eindhoven in the eDivisie, ManuBachoore has been known for making deep runs in the biggest competitions, and he comes into the FC Pro Open as one of the tournament favourites.

Manuel will also be playing for FC Pro Live Hirving Lozano at the FC Pro Open, though the Squad Building Challenge to secure that item has now expired. With recent weeks showing that competitors have been able to secure three upgrades for their respective items, Lozano could end the night as an 89 OVR right winger with 97 pace. 

Vejrgang - Anders Vejrgang is one of the key players to watch at the FC Pro Open in Match Week Three, and he comes into the event as one of the top performers through qualifying.

No player scored more goals than the 17 year old at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, with Vejrgang scoring 42 across the swiss stage and knockout rounds before booking his place to the FC Pro Open with a strong 7-3 win over BerkayLion.

The RBLZ Gaming star is known for his relentless attacking play, and that could see a number of high-scoring affairs on the night against some difficult opposition.

Vejrgang will be representing the FC Pro Live item of RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan. The 84 overall Bundesliga star is already a strong option in the current meta with 81 pace and 85 defending, and his price could quickly rise if Vejrgang begins to stack up wins on Monday night.. 

AbuMakkah – After a slow start saw AbuMakkah lose his opening swiss stage match, the Falcons esports star enjoyed a perfect run from then on to book his place to the FC Pro open. 

One of his best performances during the swiss stage saw him defeat Umut 6-1, before edging out Happy and 1OS to earn back-to-back wins in the upper bracket. He is one of the best competitors from the Middle East, and was also part of the Saudi Arabia squad that secured a top eight finish at the 2023 eNations Cup. 

Looking for that extra link to Neymar? Well, keep an eye on AbuMakkah who is representing FC Pro Live Kalidou Koulibaly at the FC Pro Open. The Senegalese centre-back, who also provides a strong link to FC Pro Live Sadio Mane, is already at 87 overall, and that means that Koulibaly will be 90-rated with 85 pace if AbuMakkah qualifies from Group C with at least 10 points. 

Three matches to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week 3

ManuBachoore vs Vejrgang (Round 1 - 18.00 GMT) - ManuBachoore and Vejrgang kick-off Match Week Three at the FC Pro Open with a clash that would be unsurprising as a potential final. This one is the second time that the FC Pro Open has been opened by a match between Team Gullit and RBLZ after Emre Yilmaz and Umut faced off in Match Week One. 

Team Gullit Pro ManuBachoore will be hopeful of getting off to a strong start as one of the players that missed out on some useful experience in the Global Qualifier, though Vejrgang is likely one of the players he would have been hoping to avoid.

Vejrgang secured a top eight finish at the 2023 eWorld Cup, and some of his best performances came for RBLZ who registered an impressive top four at the eChampions League before sharing $300,000 from winning the eClub World Cup. A clash between two titans from 2023, and one that could be significant in who finishes Match Week Three on top. 

Vejrgang vs AbuMakkah  (Round 3 - 19.30 GMT) - The last time Vejrgang and AbuMakkah faced off against each other was at the 2023 eNations Cup.when Denmark took on Saudi Arabia in Group A.

Saudi Arabia had the better of the two ties that time as AbuMakkah and MSDossary defeated a Denmark side of Vejrgang and Marcuzo 4-1 before a 2-2 draw in the second match, though this time they will be head to head. 

Both players were two of the strongest at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier with impressive 4-1 finishes in the swiss stage, and that will likely see a fiercely close match between two of the current top esports pros in FC24.

AbuMakkah vs ManuBachoore (Round 5 - 20.50 GMT)  - Be sure to stick around until the end of the broadcast to watch AbuMakkah taking on ManuBachoore in round five of Match Week Three at the FC Pro Open, when the Falcons esports star will be looking to avenge a loss from the summer.

AbuMakkah was one of the top performers during the 2023 eWorld Cup group stages as he topped his group ahead of both Mark11 and Tekkz, but it was ManuBachoore who secured a 10-2 victory over him in the first round of the knockout stages.

An exciting rematch between one of the best players in the Middle East and the current eWorld Cup champion, in which AbuMakkah will be hoping to perform much better this time around.
