FC Pro Open - Match Week One preview
Here are three players and three matches to watch out for in Match Week One of the FC Pro Open.
November 23

The FC Pro Open is officially here and Group A is set to kick things off in London for Match Week One of the competition on Monday November 27.

Getting off to a strong start will be important for hopes of making it to the FC Pro Open Finals as part of the final eight on February 3, while all five players from Group A will at least be looking to stay in contention for a place ahead of their second Match Week in the new year.

All of the action can be watched live across our Youtube and Twitch platforms, and remember there are viewership rewards up for grabs every week.

Each competitor is set to play four times in Match Week One, and these are the players and matches to look out for.

Players to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week One

Mark11 - Mark11 is one of the top players heading into the FC Pro Open after being one of the four who received an invitation to the event following a strong finish as runner-up at the FIFAe World Cup 2023. Representing FUTWIZ, the Australian is the only player from Group A not from Europe, and he has recently been favouring a 4-3-2-1 formation in-game.

FC Pro Live Denis Genreau will receive upgrades in line with Mark’s performances at the FC Pro Open, and that item is available to be acquired as a squad building challenge until November 27 when matches begin.

Umut – Umut is among the most seasoned pros at the FC Pro Open, backed up by a resume of impressive tournament results across his career. One of the stars from RBLZ, he helped his side to multiple wins on the previous title, though his biggest was in the FIFAe Club World Cup in which he was part of a three-player squad that won first place for $300,000. He saved his best performances for the knockout stages at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, avenging an earlier Swiss Stage defeat with a 3-1 win over BerkayLion before booking his place at the FC Pro Open with a convincing 9-1 victory over CameronRock.

FC Pro Live Renan Lodi is the item that will be upgraded in line with Umut’s performances at the FC Pro Open.

2023-11-12 - EA Sports - FC Pro Open - 0283 - Joe Brady

Lukas (4-1) - Lukas didn’t lose a game in normal time at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, with his only defeat coming after a 3-3 draw and loss on penalties against DSaanchez during the Swiss Stage. He finished 4-1 on day one, and was one of the top scorers at the event with 38 goals in seven matches. He continued that form to book his place at the FC Pro Open in comfortable fashion with wins over Albertss (6-2) and JistenNSQ (5-2) in the knockout rounds.

That’s good news for players keeping an eye on FC Pro Live Randal Kolo Muani, who Lukas will be representing across the FC Pro Open, with an excellent chance of becoming one of the first promotion cards to earn some upgrades.

Three matches to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week One

Emre Yilmaz vs Umut (18.10 GMT) - In the first match for both players at the FC Pro Open, we have two of the best players from the 2023 eChampions League. Emre Yilmaz defeated Umut in the lower bracket finals before going on to win the grand final of that event, though he did lose to Umut earlier on in the knockout stages in the upper bracket. It’s sure to be an exciting opening game as one of the top stars from the Virtual Bundesliga prepares for a tough match against familiar opposition in Team Gullit’s Emre Yilmaz, but this time for three vital points in the quest to qualify for the FC Pro Open Finals.

Lukas vs Emre Yilmaz (18.50 GMT) - There was no shortage of drama when Lukas and Emre Yilmaz went head to head at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, with Lukas coming out on top in a hardfought 8-6 victory during the Swiss Stage. Now set to take each other on with even more at stake, this match will have plenty of excellent FC24 attacking skill on display, and whoever has learned the most from the previous encounter could have the advantage.

2023-11-12 - EA Sports - FC Pro Open - 1664 - Joe Brady

Umut vs H1dalgo (20.50 GMT) - La Liga star H1Dalgo edged out the win in a 15-goal match to win 8-7 over ePremier League champion Ollelito, as Neymar scored the decisive goal in the 118th minute to book his place in the FC Pro Open. That match was the third time that H1Dalgo had conceded seven goals during the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, and this indicates that there could be plenty of action in this one against Umut, who scored 12 goals in two games to cruise through the knockout rounds from the upper bracket.

A total of 10 matches will take place in Match Week One of the FC Pro Open in London, in an event that is set to ignite the esports torch on FC24. We’ve included a full list of Group A's first day of fixtures below.
