The Ajax Esports team have some serious talent within their ranks, as they look to make a splash in the eChampions League and the FC Pro World Championship.
Not only do they have FC Pro Open winner, PHzin, competing for them, but they’ve also got incredibly talented Dutch phenom, Levi De Weerd, completing their dangerous duo. The Ajax superstar might only be 19-years-old, but he’s proven himself to be one of the most dangerous FC 24 players in the world.
We’ve analysed some of Levi’s gameplay from last weekend’s KPN eDivisie Finals and highlighted some of the things that put him levels above other competitors.
Patience is a virtue
On the surface, this is just a really good goal from Levi De Weerd to give his scoreline some extra cushion. However, if you pay close attention to the smaller moments leading to the goal, you’ll see how well worked it is.
The key to Levi’s success with this goal - and many of his others - is that he remains patient throughout each phase of the game. He’s not rushing to get the ball into the box as soon as the ball is played out to Mendy, he’s picking out the perfect pass with each moment to ensure maximum impact.
It’s the type of play you expect from veterans and - despite his age - that’s exactly who De Weerd is.

Right place, right time
It’s one thing to have incredible weapons at your disposal, but if you don’t know how to use them then they become useless.
Luckily for De Weerd, he’s an expert at making sure his most dangerous assets are always in the right areas to be effective. The clip below shows that as soon as he reaches a dangerous area on the pitch, he instantly looks for his most impactful players, which in this case is Kylian Mbappe.
Less experienced players often make mistakes when it comes to picking out the player that’s going to make the difference for them during offensive moments. However, De Weerd is as close as you’ll get to flawlessly picking the right player to do the job.

Playing the triangle
Now this one is a little more tricky as it requires a level of perfection that FC 24 fans can only achieve with a lot of practice. However, if they’re able to master the art of using triangles to create space then they’ll become a force to be reckoned with.
De Weerd does this expertly to help him score his third goal against Emre Yilmaz, using an audacious chipped pass to open the door to his opponent’s defense. He then connects with three more quick passes to isolate the defenders inside of the triangle and open up space for Lionel Messi to slot the ball home.
