The KPN eDivisie Final always stood out on the FC Pro schedule as a must-see event for FC 24 fans, especially considering the level of talent competing for this year’s prestigious title. 

FC Pro fans witnessed the likes of FC Pro Open winner PHzin, 2023 eChampions League winner Emre Yilmaz, 2023 KPN eDivisie Champion Manu Bachoore, and many more battle for a €50,000 prize pool and a spot in the eChampions League and FC Pro World Championship.

There’s a lot to talk about following this weekend’s huge KPN eDivisie Finals, so here are our big three takeaways.

PHzin is him

Regarding winning major FC Pro tournaments, PHzin is having quite the year. The Ajax player tore through his opponents in the quarter and semi-finals, but had to deal with some serious adversity during his finals game against last year’s champion, Manu Bachoore.

Bachoore smashed PHzin 4-1 in their matchup, sending their best-of-three series to a tie-break game. Many would’ve switched out with their teammate after taking such a battering, but PHzin stepped right back up to the plate to try to avenge his loss.

After 120 minutes and penalties, PHzin came out on top and, alongside Levi de Weerd, became the new KPN eDivisie Champions. The Brazilian showed huge guts to comeback multiple times and he’ll need all of that this summer when he competes in the eChampions League and FC Pro World Championship.

Comeback season

The action from KPN eDivisie Finals was as intense as it gets, as FC 24 fans were treated to some of the most heart-pounding comebacks you’ll see at an FC Pro competition this year.

PEC Zwolle’s Giobundyy was the pick of the bunch, as he brought his team back from the brink of defeat in a heroic performance that sent the crowd into a frenzy. After his teammate, Dijkies, suffered a crushing 2-0 loss in their first game, it looked like their run in the competition was over.

However, Giobundyy didn’t receive the memo as he stormed back to make it 3-2 and send his team to the semi-finals. 

New eChampions League participants

The eChampions League places are beginning to fill up as two new teams have gained entry to this summer’s much-anticipated event.

Ajax and PSV will join Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion in the eChampions League, bringing together a host of some of the most exciting FC 24 players competing. With more spaces in the competition up for grabs, the FC Pro schedule is beginning to heat up.
