The Story So Far: eChampions League

The road to the 2024 eChampions League is truly underway as teams are starting to earn their spot in one of the most prestigious esports events in the world.

So far six teams - Manchester City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Ajax,PSV Eindhoven, FC Oulu, and AC Sparta Praha - have qualified, but more are set to follow as we get closer and closer to the games beginning.

The competition will feature some of the most talented FC 24 players competing, including 2023 eChampions League champion Emre Yilmaz, FC Pro Open winner PHzin, 2024 ePremier League winner Tekkz, plus many more.

Check out our recap on how we got to this point along with what’s in store for the future.

ePremier League Finals

Tekkz and Bonanno ePremier League celebration

The ePremier League was filled with the sort of drama that FC 24 fans love, as we saw memorable goals, insane comebacks, and some shocking upsets throughout.

However, as many expected, Manchester City were crowned champions after smashing past most of their opponents. The duo of Tekkz and Matias Bonanno had a slight scare in the final against Brighton & Hove Albion, but showed plenty of guts to squeak out a 2-1 victory over two intense legs.

Brighton & Hove Albions’ Jayden Groden and Marc Marley will feel disappointed that they were unable to shock the world and become ePremier League champions. However, they’ll find some solace in gaining entry into the eChampions League following their incredible run.

KPN eDivisie Finals

KPN eDivisie Finals

The super team of PHzin and Levi De Weerd combined to help Ajax lift their first KPN eDivisie title since 2021. However, it certainly wasn’t an easy task as they had to deal with an incredibly tough matchup in the final.

The KPN eDivisie Final bracket had two powerhouse teams on either side, with Ajax on one and PSV Eindhoven on the other. The two teams seemed destined to meet, especially following their impressive performances in the quarter and semi-finals.

Many expected the final between Ajax and PSV Eindhoven to be exciting, but it turned out to be so much more than that, as PHzin led a fantastic comeback in the tie-breaker match after losing the second game of their best-of-three series.

Although PSV’s Manu Bachoore and Emre Yilmaz were unable to secure the KPN eDivisie, they still have more to play for this season as they locked in their spot in the eChampions League following their appearance in the final.
