FC PRO - WHAT ARE THE RULES?
You’re bound to have lots of questions regarding the rules and entry requirements to join the world’s greatest players in the inaugural EA SPORTS FC Pro Open.

INITIAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: FC PRO OPEN LADDER
Before players can enter the FC Pro ecosystem, they must first register and agree to our terms of play (insert link to terms of play/registration page)
Once registered, EA will track players’ progress through the Ultimate Team’s Rivals game mode
Players who reach at least Division 4 will unlock Competitive Game Mode, which will be used for ongoing FC Pro matches - this will appear in players’ menus within five days
Starting on October 1, 2023, the FC Pro Open Ladder is the first stage on the road to the FC Pro World Championship
Single leg matches, nine real-time minutes per half - these matches comprise the FC Pro Open Ladder stage
1v1 ladder competition, hosted by Battlefy
FC Pro Open Ladder is open for four hours per day, between October 1 and October 7
10 regions, with the best players from each region progressing to the FC Pro Regional Qualifiers
After the final day of each qualifying period, players with the highest individual rating in each region will receive an invitation to the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers
Players’ peak rating will be used - the highest rating achieved at any point during the qualification period
FC PRO OPEN REGIONAL QUALIFIERS
Qualifiers from their regional FC Pro Open Ladder square off in the head-to-head online regional qualifier tournaments on the weekend of October 14 and 15, and October 21 and 22 (European regions only)
Swiss rounds, followed by a double-elimination bracket
52 qualifiers from the 10 regions advance to the in-person FC Pro Open Global Qualifier
FC PRO OPEN GLOBAL QUALIFIER
Here’s where it starts to get *really* exciting and where the stakes are raised to fever pitch
The best 52 players from the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers will be flown to London to compete in the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier
Here, they will be joined by 12 of the most consistently brilliant players from across the world
Across the weekend of Friday 10 to Sunday 12 November, the 64 players will battle it out for a $180k prize pot and for the 16 places in FC Pro Open
Initial Swiss stage to reduce the 64 players to 32
Double-elimination knockout groups to decide the 16 who will progress!
FC PRO OPEN
The final stage on the road to June’s FC Pro World Championships
16 qualifiers to be joined by four directly qualified players: ManuBachoore, Mark11, Obrunn and PHzin
Four groups of five players
Weekly matches across a period of eight weeks, running from November 27 to January 29, 2024
The top eight players will qualify for the single-elimination bracket, which will decide the overall FC Pro Open Champion
First prize of $80k to the winner, from an overall prize fund of $500k
P1 to P4 earn spots at the 2024 FC Pro World Championship in June 2024, and an automatic berth in the following season’s FC Pro Open
P5 to P16 earn automatic places in the following season’s FC Pro Open Global Qualifier
P17 to P20 will need to start the following season from the beginning of the process
FC PRO OPEN: LEAGUE PARTNER COMPETITIONS
FC Pro deeply values the global nature of the esport and the sport the game celebrates. We look forward to welcoming many of our football league partners back and integrating them even deeper into the FC Pro ecosystem.
We are anticipating over 30 leagues will host esports competitions at the domestic level to find national champions and send their very best onwards to the FC Pro World Championship.
This season, the primary competitions of our league partners will take place between February and April. Keep an eye out for announcements from your local league in the coming months.
FC PRO OPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The FC Pro World Championship will be held later in 2024 to crown the World Champion of FC 24. Here, the top four players from the FC Pro Open and 28 top-finishing players from league competitions worldwide will come together to compete in one event.
The FC Pro World Championship will be a standard group stage to a single-elimination tournament for 32 players.
