Celebrate French rally dominance with the EA SPORTS™ WRC 24 Le Maestros Content Pack*, releasing on January 28.

Le Maestros is a tribute to the iconic era of French success, from the late 1990s to the late 2010s. French competitors won the World Drivers’ Championship a stunning 15 times in a row, as two of the greatest rally drivers of all time rose to ascendancy.

This was also a highly successful time for French car manufacturers, with 11 World Manufacturers’ Championships and 11 drivers’ titles being taken behind the wheel of famed marques such as Citroën and Peugeot.

Le Maestros pays homage to the cars and drivers of this era, with new rally stages, Moments, liveries, historic vehicles and an all-new car class on the way. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.

New Stages**

Le Maestros introduces 12 new stages for the fan-favourite locations of Rallye Monte Carlo and Rally de Portugal. Each location gets new stages, with the full-length routes being accurate replicas of legendary stages from WRC history.

At Monte Carlo you’ll be tackling precision demanding S-Bends, steep drops, narrow bridges and classic hairpins. Add in the traditionally icy roads of winter and it’s a supreme challenge worthy of a champion.

The Briançonnet-Entrevaux stage is the perfect choice for Le Maestros. The two most successful drivers in WRC history duked it out on these very roads in 2022 in an all-French battle for victory that went to the very last stage.

Rally de Portugal features many challenging, scenic and revered roads, but none more so than the legendary Fafe stage. Known for its iconic and extremely challenging jump, Fafe has been a favourite of fans and drivers alike for decades.

Both stages can be driven in forward or reverse directions, along with shorter versions for additional variety. As with other EA SPORTS™ WRC 24 stages, you’ll take them on across multiple seasons, weather and time of day scenarios.

New Cars *

Le Maestros heralds the introduction of 6 new cars to the game, along with the debut of an all-new car class.

“World Rally Car 2012-2016” is the home of two new cars from Le Maestros, the Citroën DS3 WRC ’12 and the Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2013.**

These two cars represent the passing of the torch from one Maestro to the other, as a 9-time World Champion secured his final triumph with Citroën DS3, and the next French superstar began his era of dominance with the Volkswagen Polo the year after.

Long-time virtual rally fans may also recognise the Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2013 as the “cover car” of the original DiRT Rally, and the Codemasters development team is excited to bring the car back for fans of the series.

Another highly requested car by EA SPORTS™ WRC 24 players has been the Citroën C3 WRC. This car competed in the era of dramatic aerodynamics, and joins its base game counterparts from Ford and Volkswagen in the “World Rally Car 2017-2021” class.

In the years prior to its domination of the top class of WRC, Citroën was known as a giant-killer from the supporting categories, with the Citroën Xsara Kit Car being especially potent on asphalt. A pair of victories in 1999 was the car’s mark on the sport as the top-class drivers couldn’t keep up with the front-wheel drive wonder.

Much like Junior WRC is the stepping stone to success for today’s drivers, the Citroën C2 R2 Max was an ideal beginner car in the late 2000s.

The final new car in Le Maestros is the Peugeot 206 S1600. Unlike its namesake in the top class during the early 2000s, the S1600 is a front wheel drive variant that was especially quick on asphalt. Revving north of 8000rpm, the 206 is sure to make an impression when you get behind the wheel.

New Liveries & Moments

To further celebrate the era of French rally dominance, Le Maestros features 17 new liveries based on the teams and drivers of this period.

Notable highlights include Sébastien Ogier’s title-winning designs from 2013 (Volkswagen) and 2018 (M-Sport), along with several liveries from his eternal rival’s many successes at Citroën. The full list can be found in the Key Details section below.

Finally, Le Maestros introduces 16 exclusive Moments, challenging you to recreate some of the epic scenes from WRC history.

Look out for events such as the Citroën Xsara Kit Car’s shock 1-2 in 1999, the Citroën C4 WRC’s dramatic 2010 win at Rally de Portugal, the mighty debut of the Volkswagen Polo R WRC in 2013, and more.
